surfing is a lot like markets in many ways. patience is rewarded. you need to assess the quality of a wave (asset), understand whats below you and around you (catalysts), and put your body (capital) on the line. you get rewarded for calculated risks (barrels and bombs) and punished badly (long hold down times) for bad decisions (losing capital) many lessons there. grateful for all of you and mother nature 🙂
