While this will be led by left wing pseudo-nationalists and opposed by the British right, I maintain that it would be a good thing for all the composite nations of the UK.
The United Kingdom as an entity structurally stifles ethnonationalism, has successfully recast Britishness as a civic umbrella term, and the electoral arithmetic allows Scotland and Wales to undermine a right wing English majority.
Celtic nationalism is also incentivised to stay left-wing as long as it casts itself as representing peripheries against a conservative English majority.
Breaking up the Union allows parties like the Scottish National Party to face a populist nationalist challenge, and would make it easier for rightist party to secure a majority in England.
On the Irish side, 80% of bogus asylum seekers here enter come via the North after travelling from Britain.

The SNP, Plaid Cymru and Sinn Féin leaders will discuss cooperation on the economy, energy, Europe and self-determination.
John Swinney, Scotland’s First Minister and leader of the SNP, said the UK’s current system is “not sustainable.”
