📊 REAL BACKTEST RESULTS — 364 Trades, 18 Months of Data I just finished backtesting a Short Straddle strategy in my latest course video: • Sell CE + PE at 9:30 AM • 100% SL per leg • Exit at 15:20 if any position open Here are the RAW numbers ( brokerage and slippage not considered) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✅ Total Trades: 364 ✅ Win Rate: 59.1% ✅ Total P&L: +₹50,099 ⚠️ Max Drawdown: -₹62,213 ⚠️ Avg Win: +41 pts | Avg Loss: -54 pts ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔍 THE INSIGHTS THAT MATTER: 1️⃣ EXPIRY DAY = GOLDMINE Non-Expiry Days: -100 points ❌ Expiry Days: +936 points ✅ That's a 1,000+ point swing just by filtering DTE! 2️⃣ 100% SL IS A TRAP When both legs hit SL together (only 6 times!) — avg loss was -150 points. One bad day wipes out 3-4 good days. Tighter SL is non-negotiable. 3️⃣ CE vs PE IS NOT SYMMETRIC Short CE made +1,113 points Short PE lost -277 points Market bias matters. Blindly selling both legs costs money. 4️⃣ RECENT REGIME SHIFT 2026 Q1: -408 points despite 56% win rate. Losses are getting bigger.
