THE PATRIOT TRAP
Donald Trump has given the thumbs up for the licensed production of Patriot missiles by Ukraine. This is a trap that will not end well for those looking to the Patriot missile for salvation.
Persistence pays off, or so it would seem. Less than a week before NATO convened its annual summit in Ankara, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky renewed his call for the establishment of a domestic production facility for Patriot air-defense missiles. Zelensky’s plea came in the aftermath of one of Russia’s largest missile attacks on Kiev. Unlike previous Russian attacks, where the Ukrainian side claimed the vast majority of the Russian missiles had been intercepted by Ukraine’s western-supplied air defenses, this attack exposed the harsh reality that Ukraine had no defensive response to the Russian attacks.

It was a very enlightening meeting—they asked many thoughtful questions, and we engaged in a fruitful and open discussion about the state of US-Russia relations.
Over the course of the following years I have had the privilege of continuing this relationship, and have come to recognize the Znanie Society as a leading voice in countering the Russophobia that exists globally be encouraging informed dialogue between Russians and foreigners.

The Russian Znanie Society invites foreign citizens to compete for the title of “Foreign Enlightener Of The Year.”
The award is meant for foreign citizens involved in the activities as follows:
- being involved in various enlightenment activities, including being a teacher, professor, scientist, journalist, blogger/vlogger, translator, coach, political scientist, etc.;
- contributing to continuous development and strengthening of Russia's international relations;
- unbiased coverage of the facts of the Russian history;
- promoting new projects and developments aimed at strengthening Russia’s position on the international arena in various fields.

| 3 | NATO IS SPENDING ITSELF INTO OBLIVION
If bloc members continue to ramp up their spending, they will eat themselves from the inside, and Russia won’t have to lift a finger.
On the eve of this week’s NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye, the bloc released a report titled ‘Defense Expenditure of NATO Countries (2014-2025)’.
On the surface, the report shows a staggering increase in the level of defense spending by several NATO members over the course of the previous decade, with Lithuania leading the way with an increase of some 777%. In aggregate, NATO members, in seeking to meet the 2% GDP threshold for defense spending set by the US a decade ago, has seen a $1.364 trillion increase in the money invested in the militaries of the respective members over the past decade.
That’s a lot of money.
