Hyperliquid announces the launch of manual borrows
#Hyperliquid has launched manual lending and borrowing, enabling users to use $HYPE and $BTC as collateral to borrow assets such as $USDC and $USDT. Borrowers pay interest to suppliers at utilization-based rates. The feature uses the same #HyperCore infrastructure as portfolio margin and recorded $269M in borrowed assets on its first day.
Hyperliquid co-founder Jeff Yan said Hyperliquid’s modular design separates lending risks while integrating lending with trading through portfolio margin, allowing idle stablecoins to earn interest.

Crypto.com secures SEC approval for single-stock futures in the U.S
#Cryptocom's U.S.-regulated derivatives exchange, North American Derivatives Exchange #Nadex, has registered with the #SEC to offer security futures products through #OGcom. The SEC acknowledged Nadex’s registration on September 16, two days after it was filed, making it effective immediately. The exchange is also seeking approval to offer single-stock perpetual futures with no expiration date.

Fortitude appoints former Hut 8 CEO Jaime Leverton ahead of Nasdaq deal
#FortitudeMiningHoldings has named former #Hut8 CEO Jaime Leverton as chief executive as the #Zcash-focused miner moves toward a public listing through a proposed merger with #Nasdaq-listed #HeartSciences. Leverton will take over as CEO on September 21, replacing Andrea Childs, who will transition to chief operating officer. She will remain CEO after the deal closes, with the combined company expected to operate under the Fortitude name and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker “TUDE.”

Celsius files $495M lawsuit against BitMEX over 2020 crash
#CelsiusNetwork estate has sued #BitMEX over forced liquidations during the March 2020 COVID crash, seeking the return of 6,360 BTC, currently valued at around $495M. Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium, the litigation administrator in Celsius’ bankruptcy, filed the complaint on September 12 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Celsius claims it lost 1,325.84 BTC in a single liquidation on March 12, 2020, while investment fund JST, which assigned its claims to Celsius, lost another 5,034.33 BTC the next day. Both held positions that benefited if Bitcoin’s price remained stable or increased. The lawsuit alleges BitMEX controlled both the liquidation mechanism and the insurance fund that accumulated proceeds from those liquidations.

Deutsche Bank to launch crypto custody service for institutions
#DeutscheBank is launching a digital asset custody service, marking its first major move into a sector attracting growing interest from leading European banks. Later this year, institutional and corporate clients will be able to securely hold and transfer $BTC, $ETH, and selected stablecoins through Deutsche Bank, subject to regulatory approval.
The service will initially launch in Germany, targeting asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, brokers, investment funds, and corporate clients exploring blockchain technology. The bank plans to gradually expand its supported assets, potentially adding tokenized financial instruments.

X launches US Cashtag Program with five brokerage partners
