a very good article, though not very directly relevant for UPSC, but very well articulated opinions. Happy belated women's day!

First discounted course! Just watch the sample once!

Hello everyone, how is the Josh? Can you give me 3 mins of uninterrupted attention? Someone just texted me (in good gesture, no offense meant) that 'congratulations to get to more than 5k in matter of couple of weeks, isn't it quick and crazy?' At first sight I felt it's true. But is it quick? Before this 20 days there was atleast 5 years of toil and multiple failures to be able to get to this content. Let alone be the toll it takes on your body and mind. Further, do you think this makes me very happy? Honestly, it always feels like a step down from the orginal dream i had. (Unless with time my perspective changes, which i believe would) No matter what this is a bitter truth of life. Now in this group there are 200+ mains giving students and atleast 10 i know are like me in last attempt and some for rank improvement. Do you think honestly all will pass? No. Sorry if it gives you chills. I wish sabka ho sakta, par nhi hota na. Why am I sharing this? Well to tell you there are two types of people. One, who don't give their best, and tell it to others and themselves that yaar Maine yaha timepass kar diya isliye nhi hua (But i was very capable). This is a mechanism of protecting self image (I have also done this). And they are shit scared to try their all and yet fail, because sometimes even our best is not enough. You know, I can bet that many of these people will in years ahead after trying multiple things yet never giving their best will be filled with self hatred from inside. That's how a frustrated, know it all - uncle/aunty's are born. We all have met them right? Soon we may become one!! Second failure, is when we try our best and yet fail. It's like God/destiny breaking us up. Yes, those coaches who say you to try your best you can never fail is shit. Sometimes shit happens. Sometimes somethings are beyond us. But thats what makes us humans and not god. While these people who try thier best and fail, suffer more after failure initially, but eventually build a character which will take them to amazing places in life. They learn why one should focus on creating efficient systems and how to improve it, because result is much like shit, beyond our control. So which type of person would you be?

🚨 DAY 15: 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES 📚 Topic: Knower-Doer Split 📖 Meaning: The Knower-Doer Split refers to the disconnect between what people know (their intellectual understanding or theoretical knowledge) and what they actually do (their actions or behaviors). In this context, someone may have strong knowledge or awareness about what is right, good, or effective, but fail to apply that knowledge in practice. Causes: 1. Lack of motivation or discipline. 2. External pressures or conflicting interests. 3. Failure to translate knowledge into concrete action due to practical challenges. Impact This split can hinder personal growth, professional effectiveness, and overall success, as the gap between knowing and doing results in missed opportunities and inefficiencies. Swami Dayanand emphasized on avoiding Knower-Doer Split. 💬 Key Quote: "To know and not to do is not to know." – Tao Te Ching 👉 Application: 1️⃣ Use this concepts in questions related to conscience, quality of life, inner peace, contentment etc. 2️⃣ This concept is extremely impactful in Case Studies related to personal consequences. While justifying your options: By taking XYZ decision, I will be avoiding Knower-Doer Split, which as per Swami Dayanand, will give me inner peace. Hit ❤️ if you found this useful. 📎 Stay Updated : @upscandbeyondd

Tips To Solve MCQs for Prelims 1. Never be afraid of any questions. Practice Random MCQs that you know nothing about. Apply your mind to understand the question. Read the statement and options through every angle to arrive at an answer. 2. Solve so many random/difficult MCQs so that you get the confidence that if in the real exam even all 100 questions are seemingly random or unpredictable, you will not lose your calm. 3. There are a lot of TRICKS videos that claim 100% accuracy. Never ever fall into that trap. There is no such trick that has been invented. What toppers do is make some intelligent guessing. You can also learn that on your own with a lot of practice. 4. When you are solving MCQs, do not immediately try to apply elimination by looking at the options. The first step should always be to apply your static knowledge to arrive at the solution. Once you have tried to recall all that you could from your static knowledge and still couldn't solve the question, apply the elimination then. 5. All the test series that are available in the market have some inherent pattern in them. After solving 5-6 mocks of any institute, you will be able to identify those patterns. Once that happens, you wil automatically apply those patterns to solve MCQs. This defeats the purpose of mocks. To avoid this, solve mocks of multiple institutes. 6. Solve a lot of full length open mocks that have already started since January. If possible try to give it by going to the center. You will learn a lot about time management and pressure handling. 7. Any mock practice that you do at home must be done in offline mode using pen and paper. 8. Simulate the exam hall environment. Always give mocks at 9:30-11:30. Avoid all distractions during that period. Practice using OMR sheet. Switch off the phone. Follow these guidelines from now onwards. Do not commit the mistake of doing these things just 1 month before the exam. I will keep posting more suggestions every now and then. All that is needed from you is to follow these sincerely. Nothing that is written here is based on pretence. I have successfully tried and tested these across multiple prelims. ~Prashant Gupta
