| 2 | ☁️ Amazon CEO triggered Fable shutdown
Several reports claim Amazon CEO Andy Jassy initiated the shutdown of the Fable model after internal researchers found a jailbreak that could leak data useful for cyberattacks.
The researchers reported the issue, and Jassy took it to US officials instead of Anthropic, despite Amazon's $8 billion investment there.
A US science advisor confirmed a 'trusted partner' warned the government about the jailbreak, leading to a request to fix the risk. Anthropic disagreed on the threat level, which escalated the situation.

| 10 | 📈 How Francois Rochon beat the market for 30 years
Canadian investor Francois Rochon has outperformed the market for decades by following a simple rule: buy great businesses at reasonable prices and hold them for a long time.
His framework starts with financial strength:
✔️ ROE above 15%
✔️ EPS growth above 10% annually
✔️ Debt-to-profit ratio below 4
The goal is to own companies that are profitable, growing, and not dependent on excessive debt.
⠀
🖱 Next comes the business itself.
Rochon looks for market leaders with a strong competitive advantage. He prefers businesses that customers keep using regardless of economic conditions, which helps reduce earnings volatility over time.
⠀
🖱 Management is equally important.
He favors companies where executives own meaningful stakes in the business. He also looks for managers who allocate capital well, make sensible acquisitions, and focus on long-term value creation rather than empire building.
⠀
🖱 Valuation is the final filter.
Rochon estimates what a company could be worth in 5 years and tries to buy it at roughly 50% of that future value. This gives him room for mistakes while targeting returns of around 15% annually.
⠀
🖱 His current portfolio reflects that philosophy.
Top positions include Berkshire Hathaway (9.1%), Ametek (7.2%), Markel (6.8%), Alphabet (6.5%), CarMax (5.8%), Five Below (5.6%), HEICO (5.0%), Visa (4.6%), and Meta (4.6%).
⠀
The strategy is not complicated.
Find exceptional businesses. Wait for a fair price. Hold them long enough for the business to do the work.

| 11 | 🚀 Warren Buffett would likely skip the SpaceX IPO
As SpaceX begins trading today at a valuation of roughly $1.77 trillion, some analysts argue the company is exactly the kind of investment Warren Buffett would avoid.
The concern is not the technology. It's the valuation. SpaceX is expected to debut at around 90x revenue, a level that even many high-growth tech companies have never sustained in public markets.
Buffett has long favored businesses that are easy to understand, generate predictable cash flows, and trade at reasonable prices. SpaceX combines rocket launches, satellites, AI assets, data center ambitions, and long-term projects like Mars colonization into a single investment story.
For many investors, that's what makes the company exciting.
For a Buffett-style investor, it's exactly what makes it difficult to value.

| 12 | 🤖 OpenAI and Anthropic Subscriptions Unprofitable
SemiAnalysis tested OpenAI and Anthropic subscriptions by running long tasks to use weekly limits. The $20 OpenAI plan delivers about $700 in token value, the $200 plan about $14,000.
Anthropic’s $100 plan shows $2,000 in token costs, revealing heavy losses across tiers.
Both companies offer fixed-price subscriptions with variable token usage depending on tasks.
OpenAI’s plans lose money below 15% usage, Anthropic below 20%.
The priciest plans show the worst margins: ChatGPT-pro-20x hits -775% at 50% load, Claude-max-20x -400%.
This may limit startups to API-only access instead of adding new subscription features.

| 14 | 🚀 SpaceX wants to be worth more than Meta
SpaceX is preparing for what could become the largest IPO in history and is targeting a valuation that may put the company above Meta.
⠀
The comparison looks strange. Meta generated nearly $201 billion in revenue in 2025. SpaceX generated about $19 billion during the same period.
⠀
A few years ago, that kind of valuation gap would have been impossible to justify.
⠀
But the market is increasingly valuing SpaceX on what it could become, not what it earns today.
⠀
The rules for pricing growth companies are changing.

| 15 | 📊 Core inflation comes in below forecasts
U.S. inflation accelerated in May, but the closely watched core inflation figure came in lower than expected.
Consumer prices rose 0.5% month over month, while core inflation increased 0.2%, below the 0.3% economists had forecast.
⠀
On an annual basis, headline inflation reached 4.2%, the highest level in 3 years, driven largely by higher energy prices linked to the conflict with Iran. Core inflation came in at 2.9%, matching expectations.
⠀
Markets reacted positively. S&P 500 futures recovered part of their earlier losses following the report, while expectations for Federal Reserve policy remained largely unchanged.
⠀
Combined with last week's strong jobs report, the data reinforces the view that the Fed is likely to keep rates unchanged at its upcoming meeting.
⠀
Inflation remains elevated, but the absence of a core inflation surprise gave policymakers more room to stay patient.

| 17 | 💰 Trump family crypto ventures generated $2.3B as retail lost $2.3B
A new investigation estimates that the Trump family's crypto ventures generated at least $2.3 billion since 2025. Over the same period, retail investors are estimated to have lost roughly $2.3 billion across those same products.
⠀
The businesses include $TRUMP, WLFI, the USD1 stablecoin, and American Bitcoin. Across each project, the pattern was similar: insiders received large allocations, retail demand pushed prices higher, and later buyers were left holding assets that traded far below peak levels.
⠀
In the case of $TRUMP, insiders reportedly controlled around 80% of the token supply through vesting structures that allowed gradual selling into market demand.
⠀
The story extends beyond crypto. The proposed GENIUS Act could directly affect the regulatory treatment of stablecoins, including USD1. Critics argue that investors were not only betting on the products themselves, but also on the possibility that a Trump-linked administration would shape the rules governing them.
⠀
The overlap between political influence and crypto ownership is becoming part of the investment thesis itself.

| 19 | 😊 Strategy buys 1,550 Bitcoin after selling 32
Strategy disclosed a purchase of 1,550 BTC for $101 million at an average price of $65,332 per coin. The buy came shortly after the company sold 32 BTC for $2.5 million, a move that sparked concerns about liquidity and funding pressure.
The purchase was almost 48x larger than the sale. It also came at a price well below the $77,135 average sale price and below Strategy's reported cost basis. At the same time, the company rebuilt its cash reserve to $1 billion after it had fallen to around $900 million.
The important detail is how the purchase was funded. Strategy raised $181 million through newly issued shares and used that capital for Bitcoin purchases and reserve funding. The Bitcoin sale itself was not the source of the cash.
The model remains the same: issue equity, raise capital, buy more Bitcoin. The debate is shifting from whether Strategy will sell BTC to how much dilution each new purchase requires.

| 20 | 💻 Google and Nvidia turn to Intel for backup chip production
Intel shares surged after reports that Google and Nvidia are discussing using the company as a backup manufacturer for advanced AI chips.
The move highlights a growing problem in the AI industry. Most advanced chips, including Nvidia GPUs, Google TPUs, and Apple silicon, are produced by TSMC. As AI spending continues to rise, relying on a single manufacturer has become a major supply chain risk.
Intel is currently the only U.S. chipmaker with the fabs, engineering capacity, and government support needed to compete at this scale. Google has reportedly ordered more than 3 million TPU chips to be manufactured by Intel in 2028, while Nvidia is testing Intel's process for future chip designs.
For Intel, landing Google and Nvidia would be a major milestone in its foundry turnaround. For the AI industry, it signals that the biggest buyers are actively building alternatives to TSMC.
