📖 QURAN SERIES
Surah Āl-ʿImrān | Ayahs 31–40
✨ Exact Translation ✨
(3:31) Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
(3:32) Say, ˹O Prophet˺, “Obey Allah and His Messenger.” If they still turn away, then truly Allah does not like the disbelievers.
(3:33) Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of ’Imrân above all people ˹of their time˺.
(3:34) They are descendants of one another. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
(3:35) ˹Remember˺ when the wife of ’Imrân said, “My Lord! I dedicate what is in my womb entirely to Your service, so accept it from me. You ˹alone˺ are truly the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”
(3:36) When she delivered, she said, “My Lord! I have given birth to a girl,”—and Allah fully knew what she had delivered—“and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.”
(3:37) So her Lord accepted her graciously and blessed her with a pleasant upbringing—entrusting her to the care of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah visited her in the sanctuary, he found her supplied with provisions. He exclaimed, “O Mary! Where did this come from?” She replied, “It is from Allah. Surely Allah provides for whoever He wills without limit.”
(3:38) Then and there Zachariah prayed to his Lord, saying, “My Lord! Grant me—by your grace—righteous offspring. You are certainly the Hearer of ˹all˺ prayers.”
(3:39) So the angels called out to him while he stood praying in the sanctuary, “Allah gives you good news of ˹the birth of˺ John who will confirm the Word of Allah and will be a great leader, chaste, and a prophet among the righteous.”
(3:40) Zachariah exclaimed, “My Lord! How can I have a son when I am very old and my wife is barren?” He replied, “So will it be. Allah does what He wills.”
> _Allaah swt says, “Indeed, with hardship will be ease”_
> _Not after hardship, with it._

The Internet Will Either Raise You or Ruin You
Never before in history has a Muslim had access to so much beneficial knowledge with so little effort.
It takes less than three seconds to open the Qur'an. A single search brings you the books of scholars, arranged in a list. Thousands of hours of authentic Islamic lectures sit in your pocket. You can learn Arabic, study Hadith, memorise Qur'an, and attend the Duroos of senior scholars from across the world without leaving your living room.
The same device is also quietly becoming one of the greatest threats to your Iman, your time, and your Akhirah.
The same phone through which you can learn Tawheed can drown you in distraction. The same screen that can fill your heart with knowledge can fill it with doubts, desires, and filth. And it can become the means through which you repeatedly disobey Allah - in complete privacy - night after night.
Many people would be ashamed to commit certain sins in front of their parents, their spouse, or their friends. Yet they commit them alone, in the dark, while the One who created them watches.
Sinning in private is not just an act. It is a statement of the heart. It says: "I am comfortable doing this as long as people cannot see me" - while knowing with certainty that Allah sees every click, every search, every swipe.
Allah says:
يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ
"He knows the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal." (Surah Ghafir 40:19)
The problem is not technology. The problem is direction.
Every time you unlock your phone, you are making a choice, whether you realise it or not. You are either taking a step toward Jannah or a step away from it.
The Salaf would travel for months on foot to hear a single Hadith. Today, entire libraries of beneficial knowledge sit in our pockets, yet many of us spend hours scrolling, and emerge from it having benefited neither this life nor the next.
Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said:
"Whoever understands the value and preciousness of life will not waste a single moment of it." (Tanbih al-Na'im, p. 62)
Your phone is not your enemy. It is not your friend either. It is a tool. And like every tool, it becomes exactly what you choose to use it for.
On the Day of Judgement, you will be asked about your life, your youth, and how you spent the hours Allah entrusted to you. And that includes your screen time.
The internet is one of the greatest blessings of our time, and one of the greatest tests.
If you are using it to seek knowledge, draw closer to Allah, and benefit others, then you are among those who understood the gift.
But if it has become a door to sin, a thief of your hours, and a wall between you and Allah, then take that seriously.
Digital addiction is real, and it is stealing from people's Dunya and their Akhirah without them even noticing.
Use what Allah placed in your hands to prepare for the meeting with Him.
Because that meeting is coming, and what you did with your hours will be right there with you.
