A Teacher & Coach Arrested On Ses Offense Charges in S.C.
A Gaston County teacher is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a child he was coaching in Lincoln County, and he is facing similar charges in Catawba County, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Maxwell Sidney Fletcher, 30, is accused of giving the boy, who was under the age of 15, a "large amount of alcohol" and a pill, which incapacitated the child, and then sexually assaulting him, said Detective David Hendrix.
Fletcher also is charged in Catawba County with second-degree kidnapping, indecent liberties with a child, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and sexual battery.

NYC teacher at posh Dalton school resigns amid accusations by former student of sex abuse
A high school English teacher at the posh Dalton school resigned after being accused of sexually abusing a former student, The Post has learned.
Administrators received the troubling allegation about Mara Naaman in a May 2nd letter written on behalf of a student who attended the $61,000-a-year Upper East Side school. Naaman, 50, was put on leave once the student’s letter was received and she resigned the following Monday, May 6, De Jesús’ email added.
The school filed a police report and hired a firm specializing in harassment and sexual abuse to conduct an investigation, according to the letter from the administrators.

Ex-NYC prosecutor teaching at Catholic school charged with raping 13-year-old girl
A former city prosecutor turned religious school teacher has been charged with raping a 13 year-old girl, The Post has learned.
Daniel Haines, 39, an ex-Bronx and Brooklyn assistant district attorney who taught at Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary in East Harlem, is also accused of taking cell phone videos of their sexual contact, and exchanging “multiple photos and videos of a sexual nature” via email with her, according to a criminal complaint filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Two Harrison County educators charged with sex crimes against students
Two employees of the Harrison County school system have been charged in unrelated cases of sexual crimes against students.
State Police said they received a tip earlier this week about an aide at Clarksburg’s North View Elementary School who may have sexually abused a child. Friday, troopers obtained warrants and arrested Victor Chess, 50, on charges of first degree sexual abuse, sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or person of trust, and sexual abuse by a school employee.
He was taken into custody after turning himself in at the Bridgeport Detachment of the West Virginia State Police. The victim in the case was a seven-year old female student.
Also Friday, in an unrelated case, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Courtney Rankin, 33, and charged her with sexual abuse of a 17-year old student.
Rankin was a teacher at Bridgeport High School and the victim was one of her students. Deputies said in an interview with the victim they learned he and Rankin struck up a relationship in her classroom.
