Joseph Czuba, a 73-year-old landlord from Illinois, has been sentenced to 53 years in prison for the brutal murder of six-year-old Palestinian American boy Wadee Alfayoumi and the attempted murder of the boy’s mother, Hanan Shaheen. The attack, classified as both a hate crime and murder, occurred on October 14, 2023—just days after the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Motivated by rising paranoia and Islamophobic sentiments, Czuba forced his way into his tenants’ home, stabbing Shaheen multiple times before fatally stabbing young Alfayoumi 26 times. The courtroom trial included harrowing 911 audio and Shaheen’s testimony, where she recounted Czuba’s growing hostility, culminating in his chilling declaration, “You, as a Muslim, must die.” The family had lived in Czuba’s Plainville, Illinois, home for nearly two years without incident, but tensions escalated after the outbreak of the genocide. Czuba had told Shaheen to vacate the property, stating that Muslims were no longer welcome.

Reminder: Tomorrow is Monday. The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays. Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: ‎It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me. ‎[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1162e]

A ballistic missile from Yemen struck Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied lands.

And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect. [Sūrah ar-Rūm, Verse 21]

❤️🕋 The blessed pilgrims from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia are arriving in Saudi Arabia to perform Ḥajj. May Allāh accept from them.

The Israeli occupation forces bombed the Freedom Flotilla which was transporting humanitarian aid to Gaza. The aid ship was still in international waters near Malta when the attack took place. 30 people were on board the ship from 21 different countries.

ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه‎ reported: He spent (one night) in the house of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. He (the Prophet ﷺ) got up, brushed his teeth and performed ablution and said: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason." [Sūrah Āli ʿImrān, Verse 190], to the end of the Sūrah. He then stood up and prayed two rakʿah, standing, bowing and prostrating himself at length in them. Then he finished, went to sleep and snored. He did that three times, six rakʿahs altogether, each time cleaning his teeth, performing ablution, and reciting these verses. Then he observed three rakʿahs of Witr. The Muʾadhdhin then pronounced the ʾAdhān and he went out for prayer and was saying: "O Allāh! place light in my heart, light in my tongue, place light in my hearing, place light in my eyesight, place light behind me, and light in front of me, and place light above me, and light below me. O Allāh! grant me light." [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 763l]

O Believers! Always Remember Allah often, and glorify Him morning and evening. He is the One Who showers His blessings upon you - and His angels pray for you - so that He may bring you out of darkness and into light. For He is ever Merciful to the believers. [Sūrah al-ʾAḥzāb, Verse 41-43]

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه: Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Allāh said, 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nafl (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My protection, I will protect him; and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6502]

With just over a month until Ḥajj begins, the maṭāf area of the Masjid al-Ḥarām looks empty as ʿUmrah permits have been restricted to prepare for the most blessed days of the year.

ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying: “If any servant of Allāh who suffers a calamity says, what Allāh has commanded him: ’Innā Li-llāhi Wa ʾInnā Ilay-hi Rājiʿūn Allāhumma ājirnī fī muṣībatī wa-khlif lī khayran minhā’. Allāh will give him reward for affliction, and would give him something better than it in exchange.” She (ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها) said: “When Abū Salama رضي الله عنه‎ died. I uttered (these very words) as I was commanded to do by the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. So Allāh gave me better in exchange than him. (I was taken as the wife of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ).” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 918b]

Seek Allāh’s help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allāh alone. He grants it to whoever He chooses of His servants. The ultimate outcome belongs only to the righteous. [Sūrah al-ʾAʿrāf, Verse 128]

The Wind Villa Hotel in Kyoto, Japan required an Israeli tourist to sign a declaration pledging that he did not to commit war crimes such as rape, murder and torture in order to be granted a room. In response to the form the embassy of the occupation forces sent an angry letter to the hotel.

In a brutal Islamophobic attack, a Muslim worshipper named Aboubakr was stabbed to death inside La Grande Combe mosque in southern France. The attacker, pretending to be interested in Islam, asked Aboubakr to teach him how to pray. As the victim entered prostration, the suspect viciously stabbed him upto 50 times, filmed the gruesome scene while hurling vile insults at Allah and Islam, and then fled. Aboubakr’s body was only discovered hours later by worshippers arriving for Friday prayers.

ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها, the wife of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ, reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying: Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2594a]

They were born together and they were killed together 💔

Ibn Al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) described Allah’s Greatness, saying… He governs the affairs of the various kingdoms and He commands and forbids, creates, sustains, gives death, gives life, gives power, strips power (to and from whom He wills) and alternates the night and day. He gives varying fortunes to people and alternates governments (and states), destroying some and bringing some into existence. His Command and Power are dominant in the heavens and their zones, the earth and all that which is on and in it, in the seas and in the air. His Knowledge has encompassed everything and He counted everything. He hears all types of voices and they do not confuse Him. Rather, He hears each voice in its distinct language and need, and no voice will make Him busy from fulfilling the need of another, and no need will ever escape His Perfect Knowledge (and His Power to deliver). He does not become bored because of the many needs of those who need. His Sight encompasses all that which there is. He sees the movement of a black ant on a barren rock during a dark night. To Him, the Unseen is uncovered end the secret is secret no more, “Whosoever is in the heavens and on Earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring Forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to (some, death to some, etc.).” [Sūrah ar-Raḥmān, Verse 29] He forgives an evil deed, makes depression vanish and brings reprieve from disasters, relief for whoever needs it, wealth for the poor, guidance for the misguided, light for the lost, help for he who is desperate, fullness for the hungry, cover for the barely clothed, cure for the ill and ease for he who suffers. He accepts he who repents, gives reward for he who does good, gives aid for he who was dealt with injustice, destroys an arrogant person, covers mistakes, gives safety after fear end elevates some people and humiliates others. If those who inhabit His heavens and His earth and all those whom He created, whether mankind or the Jinns, had hearts similar to the most pious heart, His Kingdom will not increase. If all His creation, whether mankind or the Jinns, had hearts similar to the heart of the most wicked heart, this will not decrease from His Kingdom. Also, if all those who inhabit His heavens and His earth, all mankind and all the Jinns, the dead and the living, stand up on one strip of land and each asks Him for his need, and He then fulfils their needs, this will not decrease from what He has a bit. He is the First, nothing is before Him, the Last, nothing is after Him, the Most High, nothing is above Him, and the Most Near, nothing is nearer than Him. He, Exalted and Ever High as He is, is the Best Whom one can and should remember, the only One Who deserves to be worshiped and thanked, the Kindest of all those who own and the Most generous of all those who are asked to give. He is the King Who has no partner, the One Who has no competitor, the Samad (Self-Sufficient) Who has no offspring, and the Ever High, none like unto Him. Everything perishes save His Face and every kingship is bound to perish except His. He will only be obeyed by His Leave, and His Knowledge uncovers all disobedience to Him. When He is obeyed, He thanks for it, and when He is disobeyed, He grants forgiveness (for those who truly repent to Him). Every punishment from Him is just and every bounty is a grace. He is the Closest Witness and the Nearest One with His Perfect Care. He controls the forelocks of everything and has the full records of all deeds end the books of all ages. The hearts are unmasked to Him and the secret is unveiled. His giving and punishing is merely a Command, “Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be, and it is!’” [Sūrah Yāʾ Sīn, Verse 82].
