🚨 WE ARE LIVING IN A GENERATION THAT WANTS GOD’S DELIVERANCE BUT REJECTS HIS AUTHORITY! 👇🏽
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you?” — Psalm 50:15–17
Look around at the world we are living in today! We are witnessing increasing chaos, violence, deception, moral confusion, and a generation that is rapidly abandoning biblical truth.
Yet when tragedy strikes, disaster comes, or our nation faces another crisis, suddenly everyone wants to call upon God!
We want God to protect our nation, but we don’t want His commandments governing our lives. We want His blessings, but reject His standards.
We want His promises, but despise His correction. We want to invoke His name in times of trouble while casting His Word behind us when it confronts our lifestyles!
And sadly, this isn’t just happening in the world. It’s happening inside the Church!
We have pulpits that preach prosperity without repentance, grace without transformation, and a version of Jesus that never confronts sin or demands surrender.
We have people boldly quoting Scripture on social media while openly celebrating the very things God condemns in His Word!
But Psalm 50 reminds us of something sobering: God is not impressed by religious language when our hearts are far from Him!
Jesus warned in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says to Him, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who do the will of His Father.
And in 2 Timothy 3:5, Paul warned that the last days would be marked by people “having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
Does this not describe much of what we are witnessing today?
We have more Christian content, more religious platforms, and more access to the Bible than perhaps any generation in history, yet biblical conviction and obedience are increasingly treated as offensive and outdated.
The greatest danger facing this generation isn’t simply the darkness growing in the world. It’s the willingness of professing believers to compromise with that darkness!
But here is the hope: God is still calling His people to repentance! His mercy is still available! His Word still stands, and His promises remain true!
The answer isn’t abandoning the Church or giving up on our generation. The answer is returning to the Lord with humility, repentance, holiness, and a renewed reverence for His Word.
We cannot keep asking God to deliver us from the consequences of a culture whose rebellion we refuse to confront in our own lives!
The hour is late, the deception is increasing, and the need for genuine spiritual awakening has never been greater.
May we be a people who don’t merely call upon His name in trouble, but faithfully walk with Him when everything is going well!
Because the question facing this generation isn’t simply whether we believe in God. It’s whether we are willing to obey the God we claim to believe in!
