Humble tributes to social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his Jayanti Mahatma Jyotirao Phule was a prominent social reformer, thinker, and writer from Maharashtra. He strongly opposed caste discrimination and worked for the upliftment of Dalits and women. Along with his wife Savitribai Phule, he opened the first school for girls in Pune in 1848. He founded the Satyashodhak Samaj in 1873 to promote social equality and fight Brahminical dominance. Phule’s ideas laid the foundation for the anti-caste movement and inspired future leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
