[PODCAST] Who rewrote India’s history?
K. M. Munshi warned that India still lacked a history that captured the civilisation as Indians themselves understood it. This video traces the five stages through which that historical tradition was dismissed, marginalised and ultimately pushed out of the mainstream.
The battle over India’s past is not merely academic.
It is a battle over memory, identity and civilisational continuity.

Read this before you treat “Bhutto” as only a Pakistani surname.
Nov 1947. Patel gets the call. Junagadh’s Dewan has asked India to take over the state. Munshi’s reply: Jai Somanatha.
That Dewan was Shahnawaz Bhutto.
His name comes from Bhurṭṭaka — a Suryavamsha Chalukya. Jaisalmer inscriptions of 1148 and 1173 still call the line Bhuṭṭā / Bhutta. They were not Muslim then.
Conversion did not just change the religion. It wiped the memory, altered the name, and turned a Kshatriya house into the family that promised India a thousand-year war.
The biographies stop at four centuries. The stones do not.
