🔊NEW COURSE ALERT If you are an NUS undergraduate curious about urban poverty, Social Work's new SW3227 Poverty and its Discontents might just be the one for you. ✨ In this course, dive into big questions like: - What is urban poverty? - Should it be measured? - Can poverty be solved? - What are the dilemmas and trade-offs in different anti-poverty programmes? - What should we do as citizens and social workers? Her citation for the awards lauds her work as an award-winning writer with multiple accolades to her work, a literary critic, and an educator fostering literary talent in Singapore. Commentary | Assoc Prof Peace Wong (NUS Social Work) on MSF's plans to improve the social service sector At the Year of Celebrating Social Service Professionals Closing Event by Ministry of Social and Family Development on 9 Dec 2025, A/P Wong was interviewed about the importance of supervision in the social service sector, where she highlights the need to develop standardised practices and training for supervisors in order to help social workers more effectively.
