Today we celebrate the feast of St Carlo Acutis, a young saint who used technology to share his love for Jesus. Inspired by his passion, BSC joined the very first Catholic Hackathon, FIAT2026. Our very own flock put their passion into action and tackle challenges faced by Catholic organisations in Singapore — and one hacked their way to 1st place! 🎉 As Pope Leo’s remind us in his Magnifica Humanitas, let us keep using our charism to build together for the common good ⛪ 💛 St Carlo Acutis, pray for us! #blessedsacramentchurchsg #BSCSG #catholichackathonsg #fiatsg2026

This October, join us in praying the Rosary together: 📅 Monday to Friday at 6pm ⛪ Blessed Sacrament Church On 13 Oct, we will celebrate Holy Mass at 6.30pm in honour of Our Lady of Fatima, followed by a Candlelight Procession. Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry. St Padre Pio received extraordinary miracles: the stigmata, reports of bilocation, and a deep spiritual gift for understanding the hearts of others. Yet, his focus remained simple: Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry. Today, may his example encourage us to bring our worries to God through prayer, remain hopeful, and rest in His loving care. St Padre Pio, pray for us 🙏 Let us take a moment to pray the Prayer of Trust and Confidence (see the last frame). 📝 prayer taken from EWTN #blessedsacramentchurchsg #BSCSG #PadrePio #FeastOfPadrePio #feastday #PrayHopeDontWorry

Does it feel like your world has shattered — what you thought you knew is gone, something precious has been taken from you, and now you’re left grieving the loss and the pain? Or maybe it feels like life has placed a heavy cross on your shoulders, one so crushing that you can’t see the end of the road or even a glimpse of light ahead. It’s hard for others to truly understand the depth of what you’re going through. But there is hope because there 𝘪𝘴 someone who understands. Our Lady of Sorrows, whose heart was pierced seven times, knows what it means to suffer deeply. When we unite our pain with hers, it may not take the cross away, but it reminds us we are not alone. Mary walks with us, feels with us, and gives us the courage to keep going on the path God has placed before us. If your journey feels isolating and unbearable, will you let Our Mother, Our Lady of Sorrows, carry it with you? 💙

Parish Retreat Day 1: Encounter God in Prayer 🙏✨ First day of our Parish Retreat invited us to step away from our busy lives and truly encounter God in prayer. Prayer isn't an obligation or just words, it’s sitting quietly, letting God love us, and making space for His presence to transform our hearts. ➡️ Swipe through to revisit some of the reflections 📝

Growing in Faith, Serving with Joy 🌿 What a joyful Saturday as we celebrated our monthly Children's and Youth Mass with L9 youths, who dutifully answered the call to serve as Lectors, Hospitality Ministers and Choir. Through their reflections, we catch a glimpse of what this call to serve means to them: 🕊️ Sharing their gifts 💛 Serving others ✝️ Growing closer to Christ We’re grateful to the L9 Youth and Liturgical Ministry leaders for their endless guidance and care in helping our youths grow in faith and serve. As our L9 youths prepare for Confirmation in October, let us pray for them:
May the Holy Spirit strengthen their faith and guide them to recognise and respond to God’s call with courage, joy and love. Amen. 🙏

Celebrating Catholic Education Sunday On 25 August, we honour St. Joseph Calasanz, Patron of Catholic Schools and give thanks for the gift of Catholic Education and the beautiful partnership between homes, schools and parishes. 🙏 A special thank you to the students and teachers from HIHS & SJIIH for joining us and helping to make our Sunday Mass celebration so meaningful. 🎨 We also celebrate the Angelico Art Award (Schools Edition) Exhibition at our church, feat. 48 artworks inspired by the theme "Love means walking the talk" 1 John 3:18. A beautiful celebration of faith, learning and creativity! #CatholicEducationSunday #StJosephCalasanz #CatholicSchools #AngelicoArtAward #CatholicEducation #FaithAndLearning #BlessedSacramentChurchSG #bscsg

What does it really mean to be formed in our faith? Formation isn’t about a one-off encounter with Jesus. Neither does it only concern retreats, programmes, or studying the Catechism. Formation is the continual growth that we experience as disciples of Christ. This happens when we build our lives on the Word of God – when we meditate on it and allow it to guide us in our lives. How can we dive deeper into the Word of God so that it forms us, shapes us, and becomes the light of our path as we navigate this modern world? Find out more about the Pastoral Plan: https://www.catholic.sg/pastoralplan2025/

In last week's homily, Fr. Peter Koh reminded us: we don't retreat because we have spare time — we retreat because our hearts need it. 💛 If you've been feeling stretched thin, tired, or just a little far from God lately... this is your sign. Join us for our upcoming Parish Retreat — come away, rest, and let God speak to your heart again. 🙏✨ 📅 Save these dates Thu, 3 Sep: 7-10pm Fri, 4 Sep: 7-10pm Sat, 5 Sep: 10am - 7pm (with Sunset Mass) 📍 BSC Main Church 📝 The retreat is FREE and open to all parishioners aged 18 and above. Bring a friend — let's renew our hearts together! Sign up at http://bit.ly/4ec5zGA #MakeTimeForGod #BSCParishRetreat2026 #ParishRetreat #BlessedSacramentChurchSingapore #BSCSG

SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY Blessed Sacrament Church celebrates the Assumption of Mary on 15 August, transferred to 16 August this year for pastoral reasons, commemorating the Blessed Virgin Mary being taken body and soul into Heaven. ✨ What a beautiful reminder that Mary’s faithful “yes” to God leads her to the fullness of life with Him. May she continue to guide us closer to her Son and teach us to trust in God’s will. 🙏 “My soul magnifies the Lord…” Luke 1:46 📖 #AssumptionOfMary #OurLady #QueenOfHeaven #CatholicFaith #MotherOfGod #PrayForUs #CatholicChurch #Mary #Heaven

13 Years of Faithful Service ❤️‍🔥 Today, we give thanks for 13 years of priestly ministry and the gift of Fr.Rusdi to our parish community. “In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.” Psalm 71:1 📖 As Fr. Rusdi choose to reflect on this verse, let us as a parish community join him in prayer: 🙏 Lord, we thank You for Fr. Rusdi and his faithful service to Your people. Continue to guide, strengthen and bless him as he shepherds Your flock. May You grant him many more years of joyful and faithful service, always rooted in Your love. Amen. Let's give our heartfelt congratulations to Fr.Rusdi on his 13th Sacerdotal Anniversary! #BlessedSacramentChurch #SacredotalAnniversary #BSCPriests #SSCCPriest #GiveThanks

MISSME3: We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight. (2 Cor 5:7) ✨ Every mission begins with questions: 💭 What can I give? How can I help? How can I make a difference? But somewhere along our journey, those questions changed. 😎 Through every smile, we encountered Christ 🕊️ Through every conversation, we discovered His presence 🙏 Through every shared prayer, our faith grew deeper 💛 Through every challenge, God transformed our hearts As we are reminded, “We are evangelized by the people we serve” (SS.CC Const. 43∞2b). We went to Mentawai hoping to serve. We returned home with renewed faith, grateful hearts, knowing that throughout the journey, God was teaching us to walk by faith, not by sight. Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus remind us that there is no single path to holiness. Each encountered and loved Jesus in a unique way, showing us that whether we serve with generous hearts, spend time in prayer, or quietly bear witness through our lives, we are all invited to follow Him wholeheartedly. As we celebrate their feast day today, may their example encourage us to draw closer to Christ each day, to listen attentively to His voice, and to trust Him in every season of our lives. May we, like them, welcome Jesus into our hearts and homes, and joyfully respond to His call. Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, pray for us! 📖 Read more

Recent events remind us how fragile peace can be. As followers of Christ, may we care for one another with compassion, choose understanding over conflict, and never underestimate the power of a kind word or a listening heart. Excerpt from Fr Johan’s prayer: “May the Lord grant us understanding, hearts that forgive, and the grace to live together in harmony. We keep in prayer all who are grieving, and ask God to fill our community with His peace and love.” repost from Eric Chua (MP Queenstown)
