About Speaker: Dr. Zahra Moballegh received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Tehran in 2012. For many years, she served as a faculty member and professor of philosophy at the University of Tehran and the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies. She was also a faculty member of the Encyclopaedia of the World of Islam for more than eight years, where she authored a wide range of entries in Islamic studies, including Qur’anic studies, Islamic history, Divine Names, and ethics. In addition to publishing several research articles in philosophy and women’s studies, Dr. Moballegh has authored two books on feminist theology and Islamic philosophy. Her third book, on the narrative theology of the Qur’an, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. Since 2023, she has been a Researcher and Lecturer in Islamic Studies at Harvard Divinity School, where her teaching and scholarship focus on Qur’anic studies, theology, and Islamic philosophy.
