| 2 | GENERATING RESEARCH QUESTION THROUGH PROBLEMATIZATION 🙋♀️
This paper suggests that much of the staleness in management research stems from top journals' emphasis on gap-spotting as a means of publishing credible research--that is, identifying gaps in current theory and conducting research to fill them.
In contrast, Alvesson and Sandberg contend that this technique promotes outdated ideas. New and highly fascinating research issues necessitate radical rethinking. As a result, they suggest a problematization process that calls into question the fundamental assumptions that underpin established theory before generating new research questions that vary from those assumptions.
The following figure displays the aims of the methodology, a typology of assumptions, and principles for the methodology.

| 4 | SIX STEPS APPROACH WHEN WRITING FOR PUBLICATION
Getting published is easier than you would believe. However, it is necessary to devise a strategy. Here's a six-step tutorial that will assist you manage the process.
🫵 Read to Write
Start by reading articles in the journal you want to publish in. This will give you a sense of the style and structure expected. It’s like reverse engineering the design of a house you want to build. | 474 |
| 5 | SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW, SIMPLIFIED!
Systematic reviews are the backbone of solid research, but they don’t have to be confusing.
✅ This infographic shows you exactly what a systematic literature review is, why it matters, and the step-by-step process from research question to final report. A handy guide to keep close while working on your proposal, thesis, or journal article.

| 6 | WHAT IS PEER REVIEW?
Peer review is a process used in research and academic publishing to check the quality of a study before it gets published. Experts in the same field read and review the work. They give feedback on how accurate, clear, useful, and well-researched it is. This helps make sure the study is reliable and adds something meaningful to the subject.
✅ It's important for researchers to understand how peer review works because it helps build trust in their work.
✅ It checks if the study's design, methods, and conclusions make sense, and gives helpful suggestions for improvement.
✅ Learning about different types of peer review (single-blind, double-blind, open, and collaborative) helps researchers handle the process more confidently.
✅ Good research should be original, well-planned, clear, and ethical. Following these standards increases the chances of getting published.

| 7 | SYSTEMATIC REVIEW: PROCESS VS PRODUCT
Many postgraduate students know they need to conduct a systematic review, but fewer understand the difference between the process and the product.
Think of it this way:
✅The process is everything you do. You identify a research question, develop a protocol, search the literature, screen studies, assess quality, extract data, synthesise findings, and draw conclusions.
✅The product is what you write. It is the completed systematic review paper with sections such as the title, abstract, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, tables, and figures.
Confusing the two can make your research journey feel far more complicated than it needs to be. Once you understand the distinction, planning and writing become much more manageable.
Have you started your systematic review yet, or are you still figuring out where to begin?

| 9 | AI IS A TOOL. NOT YOUR CO-AUTHOR.
Using AI to write your manuscript? Then this is a must-read.
This editorial from ACS Nano explains how researchers can use AI responsibly without compromising scientific integrity. It covers where AI adds value, where it falls short, and why critical thinking must always remain in the hands of the researcher.

| 11 | THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK vs CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
One of the most common challenges in thesis writing is knowing whether your study needs a theoretical framework, a conceptual framework, or both.
A theoretical framework is built on existing theories and provides the foundation for understanding your research problem.
A conceptual framework is the researcher's own model that illustrates how the key concepts or variables in the study are connected.
In simple terms:
✅Theoretical framework = established theory
✅Conceptual framework = your study's proposed relationships
Understanding the distinction can help you build a clearer research design and justify your study more effectively.

| 12 | THEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW: When to Opt? Advantages, and How to!
Literature reviews are essential for gaining a deep understanding of current knowledge in a field, highlighting key gaps, spotting trends, and setting the stage for groundbreaking research.
But when you’re dealing with complex topics that cover multiple areas, the traditional approach to a literature review might not cut it. Many researchers dive into reviews without considering how to organize or structure them properly, and that’s where a thematic literature review becomes invaluable.
In this post, we’ll uncover why thematic reviews matter, when and how to conduct them, and provide expert tips on structuring an engaging and impactful thematic literature review.

| 13 | HOW TO READ A RESEARCH PAPER WITHOUT GETTING LOST 👊👊
Many students and researchers get lost in details when reading papers. S. Keshav’s THREE-PASS METHOD helps you read efficiently:
PASS 1: GET THE BIG PICTURE (5–10 min)
Decide if the paper is worth deeper reading.
‼ Read the title, abstract, and introduction.
‼ Skim headings and glance at formulas.
‼ Read conclusions and scan references.
Goal: Know the type, problem, contributions, and clarity of the paper.
PASS 2: UNDERSTAND THE CONTENT
Grasp the main ideas and evidence.
‼ Examine figures, diagrams, tables.
‼ Read carefully, skip heavy proofs.
‼ Take notes and mark references. | 747 |
| 14 | 🔍 Deep research isn’t one great question—it’s a repeatable process.
• Set a clear goal
• Break the topic into parts
• Find trusted sources
• Capture key insights
• Fact-check everything
• Turn findings into action
Work smarter, learn faster, make better decisions. | 730 |

| 20 | MASTER THE TWO WAYS RESEARCHERS THINK: INDUCTIVE & DEDUCTIVE‼
Do you start with a theory and test it with data? Or do you let patterns guide you toward a theory? That’s the key difference between deductive and inductive research.
✅Deductive is theory-first.
“All dogs have fleas.” You test them. Some don’t. The hypothesis doesn’t hold.
✅Inductive is observation-first.
You notice 1000 budget flights are delayed. You form a theory. But flight 1001 could surprise you.
One builds from the top down. The other climbs from the ground up. Knowing the difference can change how you approach your entire study.
