🔸A memorial gathering for the martyrdom of the eminent Marja' of the Shia world and the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may God sanctify his soul), and his martyred family members, was held on Wednesday, July 15, on behalf of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani, after the Maghrib and Isha prayers at the office of the Marja' in Qom.
🔸The ceremony was attended by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Javad Shahrestani, the fully authorized representative of Grand Ayatollah Sistani in Iran, representatives of the offices of other Maraji', a number of scholars and professors from the seminary from various countries, and people from all walks of life. Those in attendance honored the memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution through recitation of the Holy Quran and elegy recitation.
▪️Hujjat al-Islam Naser Rafiei, a seminary and university professor, spoke at the ceremony about the magnificent funeral procession of the martyred Leader of the Revolution in Iraq, stating: "Millions of devotees took to the streets in the cities of Karbala and Najaf for the funeral procession of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, and we owe special gratitude to all the people, particularly the people of Iraq."
🔸The professor described devotion and spirituality as defining moral characteristics of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, adding: "He viewed martyrdom as a transactional death and believed that martyrdom is the exchange of a mortal commodity for an eternal gift."
▪️Hujjat al-Islam Rafiei referred to the martyred Leader of the Revolution as a multifaceted leader and stated: "It will take years for the various dimensions of the personality of the martyred Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei to be fully understood by the people and the elite."
🔸Referring to the theoretical contributions of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution across various fields, the professor stated: "Numerous committees should be formed to study his theories on subjects such as economics, culture, international relations, and art."
▪️He further noted that Almighty God places love for those who perform righteous deeds in the hearts of the believers, adding: "The best deed is one in which quality takes precedence over quantity, and the martyred Leader of the Revolution always sought to perform the best of deeds."
