There are many additional questions that could be raised; however, what has been mentioned is sufficient for:
The one whom Allaah intends guidance and success,
And the one who listens attentively with a present and reflective heart.

“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock… and a man is a shepherd over his household and is responsible for his flock.”
[Agreed upon]
from Ibn ʿUmar{ رضي الله عنهما}
The Yemeni Social Context
Indeed, we as a Yemeni society fully realize each according to his position and standing that we are not in need of these suspicious shelters, at the very least, considering the religious and tribal values and principles we possess, which do not necessitate the acceptance of such projects.
However, with the widespread prevalence of poverty and unemployment, some weak-hearted individuals have found therein fertile ground for attaining a portion of worldly gain, especially in light of the generous funding involved.
Yet with proper vigilance and complete awareness, such projects will be shattered against the walls of virtue, honor, and protective jealousy (Ghayrah).
The Dangers of Establishing “Shelters for Abused Women”
The establishment of what are called “shelters for abused women” or any other name carrying the same objective within the Yemeni environment carries grave dangers, among them:
1. Encouraging Rebellion Against Parents and Husbands
These foreign-funded shelters may encourage girls and women to rebel and depart from obedience to parents or husbands at the very first natural family disagreement, rather than striving for reconciliation and reform.
Allaah, the Most High, says:⤵️
“And if a woman fears ill-treatment or aversion from her husband, then there is no blame upon them if they reconcile between themselves in a peaceful settlement, and reconciliation is best.”
[ An-Nisāʾ: 128]
2. Weakening Family Protection and Dignity
Residing in public shelters may bring social shame upon a woman and her family and deprive her of the protection and dignity that are best preserved through her home and relatives.
The Prophet ((ﷺ ))said:⤵️
“Treat women kindly.”
[Agreed upon]
from Abū Hurayrah {رضي الله عنه}
3. Replacing Family Guardianship With Unknown Entities
Separating a woman from her family and guardians results in unknown organizations or parties assuming the role of substitute guardians over her.
This conflicts with:⤵️
Islamic juristic principles.
Yemeni tribal values and customs.
The understanding that a woman’s honor, protection, and dignity are preserved through her family and guardians.
Important Questions Raised⤵️
Why Are Shelters Not Built for the Homeless and Destitute?
A large number of youths and elderly people in Yemen fill the streets and sidewalks:
Without shelter.
Without food.
Without proper care.
So why are shelters not established for them?
Do they not also possess humanity and dignity?
Why Specifically Women’s Shelters?
Why are shelters established for women who already live among:
Families,
Homes,
Relatives,
And social care,
while displaced persons and victims of war remain without refuge or assistance?
Do Existing Islamic and Legal Institutions Not Already Exist?
If family disputes or abuse do occur and no society is free from such matters then:⤵️
Does our religion not provide solutions?
Do Sharīʿah courts not exist to receive complaints?
Is there not a Family Court established for such cases?
Are there no legal means for restoring rights and aiding the oppressed?
Has the Yemeni Woman Truly Been Left Without Support?
Who is the Yemeni woman who suffered abuse and oppression yet found:
No support from her family,
No assistance from relatives,
And no justice from official authorities?
Why Not Improve Families Instead?
Could these foreign-funded organizations not direct their budgets toward:
Improving the living conditions of afflicted families,
Providing suitable environments within homes and villages,
Supporting reconciliation and stability,
instead of removing women into isolated shelters?
Or is the objective merely to place them in separate locations where they may later become easier targets for exploitation and manipulation?
All praise is due to Allaah, who honored women, elevated their rank, and established the family as a fortified refuge and a secure sanctuary for them.
May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad ((ﷺ)) and upon his family and companions altogether.
To Proceed:⤵️
Indeed, whoever contemplates the noble and radiant legislation of Islam will clearly perceive the lofty station and immense care that it has accorded to women. Islam has placed the woman within the homes of her father, husband, and brother as a safeguarded pearl, protected and honored.
It has obligated her family to treat her with righteousness, defend her dignity, and grant her rights in full, without diminution or neglect.
Under the shade of Islam’s tolerant and noble teachings, and through the honorable customs, traditions, and deeply rooted values inherited by authentic Yemeni society throughout history, women have continued to enjoy a distinguished position and exceptional care from their families, relatives, and tribes.
Thus, in our beloved Yemen, the woman is the revered mother, the honored sister, and the cherished daughter whose dignity is preserved and whose needs are fulfilled within the protection and care of her family.
The Yemeni Muslim woman is encompassed by a complete system of moral values, religious teachings, and tribal customs through which her Islamic and customary rights have been fully maintained.
Likewise, this remains the condition of the Muslim woman in any land, so long as she preserves her honorable standing in Islam, regardless of the country in which she resides or the language she speaks.
Accordingly, the woman in our society, under this deeply rooted familial and communal care, stands in no need whatsoever of foreign interference or imported ideologies that claim to protect her or allege to advocate for her rights. Therefore, so-called “shelters for abused women,” regardless of the names, titles, or descriptions under which they are presented, together with the ideas and agendas accompanying them, stand in contradiction to the unique nature of our society and our firmly established religious principles.
Such initiatives constitute a direct threat to the cohesion of the family structure.
It is indeed regrettable that this ill-fated experiment, which first emerged in Iraq, has now been transferred to our lands.
Nevertheless, by the praise and favor of Allaah, we have witnessed widespread rejection that reflects the living conscience of Yemeni society a society that refuses any encroachment upon its principles and values.
Even if attempts are made to beautify the image, alter the terminology, or introduce certain restrictions intended to render such Westernizing projects more acceptable, the underlying reality remains unchanged, and the driving force behind them remains one and the same.
Due to the cohesion of Yemeni society and its firm adherence to its principles and values, it may not always be possible for every reality to be openly stated.
Consequently, one naturally encounters vague and elastic terminology, alongside efforts to pacify public sentiment through certain publicly declared restrictions restrictions which, in reality, they do not necessarily consider themselves bound to uphold.
Perhaps Allaah will facilitate the preparation of a comprehensive and thoroughly documented study drawn from their official sources, so that it may be presented as an academic research work exposing the concealed realities and hidden dimensions behind these matters.
And all success and aid are from Allaah alone, and there is neither might nor power except through Allaah.
“Beginning: Allaah says…”⤵️
Allaah, the Most High, says in His Noble Revelation, affirming the role of men and families in protection and guardianship:
“Men are caretakers and maintainers of women because Allah has given some of them advantages over others and because they spend from their wealth.”
[ An-Nisāʾ: 34]
The Prophet(( ﷺ)) likewise emphasized this shared responsibility in his statement:⤵️
The Status Of A Woman In Paradise, and Whether She will be With her Husband?”
📩Question📩
May Allaah reward you with goodness.
This female questioner sent a set of questions to the program.
She writes the initials (رق ع) in this question:
What is the status of a woman in Jannah [Paradise] given the presence of the ‘Hūr al-ʿayn’? And what is the situation regarding her husband?
And does a woman become the wife of the martyrs?”
📲Answered by📲
🎙️Ash-Shaykh Muḥammad Saalih Ibn Al-Uthaymeen((رحمه الله))
The Shaykh said:
There is no doubt that wives will be with their husbands in the Hereafter.
Allaah Almighty says in the supplication of the Angels for the Believers:
“Our Lord, admit them to the Gardens of Eternity which You have promised them, along with whoever among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring who were righteous. Indeed, You alone are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”
[Ghafir{8}
And the Exalted says:
“And those who believed, and whose descendants followed them in faith We will join their descendants with them, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds.
[At-Tur{21}
Every person is accountable for what he has earned.”
Undoubtedly, the wife will be with her husband in Paradise in a high and noble status.
Some scholars have even said regarding the supplication for the deceased, “and replace her with a spouse better than her spouse,” that the intended meaning is:
And replace her with a husband better than her husband” meaning:
Replace her with a husband better than her husband, that is, make her husband for her in Paradise better than he was in the worldly life.
Furthermore, Allaah’s saying:
“Therein is whatever souls desire and delights the eyes, and you will abide therein forever,”
includes everything the souls long for and that pleases the eyes.
There is no distress, no fatigue, no worry, and no grief there.
So women should rejoice in this glad tidings and know that Jannah[Paradise ]contains none of the jealousy or harm found in worldly life.

When Reconciliation Between Spouses Is BetterThan Divorce
📥 Question 📥
Allaah the Exalted says:
“And reconciliation is better.”
[An-Nisāʾ: 128]
This is in the context of reconciliation between spouses. If reconciliation takes place by the woman giving up her maintenance, part of it, or some of her marital rights, and harm comes to her because of that, then how can reconciliation be better than divorce when she has been harmed?
📤 Answered by 📤
📝 The Noble Ash-Shaykh
Abee Abdirahman Rashaad Ibn Ahmad Ad-Dhalee’ee (حفظه الله)
A woman may choose such a reconciliation because she sees a greater benefit in remaining married than in losing some of her rights.
For example, a husband may be a man of status and honor among the people, and she desires to remain with him even if it means relinquishing part of what is due to her.
This occurred with Sawdah bint Zam‘ah {رضي الله عنها} the Mother of the Believers, when the Prophet ((ﷺ)) intended to separate from her.
She requested to remain as his wife and gave her allotted night to ‘Ā’ishah,{ رضي الله عنها} so that she could continue as a wife of the Prophet ((ﷺ)) The Prophet ((ﷺ))accepted this arrangement and kept her in his marriage, and in this was a clear benefit for her.
↪️ In Summary ↩️
A woman may choose reconciliation because of a benefit she hopes to preserve, such as remaining with her children and maintaining the family unit, even if that requires giving up some of her rights.
Without doubt, reconciliation that involves compromising on certain rights can be better than separation when greater benefits are achieved through it.
Many women may choose this path because of the advantages and stability found in remaining married.
However, if the harm becomes too difficult for her to bear and she believes separation would be better for her, then she has the right to seek divorce.
And Allaah, the Most High, knows best.

The Loving, Fertile Wife
┗━━━━••••━━🌸━┛
📝Ash-Shaykh Abee Abdillaah Faysal Al-Hashidee ((حفظه الله))
✍️ Not every wife is a source
of tranquility, affection, and continuation of lineage.
The blessing of marriage is only complete when love is joined with fertility, and harmony with an abundance of offspring.
This is among the greatest purposes of marriage in Islam.
It is narrated from Ma‘qil ibn Yasar (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ((ﷺ)) said:
“Marry the loving, fertile woman, for I will boast of your great numbers before the other nations.”
(Reported by Abu Dawud, 2050; authenticated by al-Albani in al-Silsilah al-Sahihah no. 1782)
This is a tremendous hadith, and it is the reason why righteous men pursue polygyny: they seek the “loving” wife meaning the one who truly loves her husband, feels close to him, comforts him with her good character, gentle service, and loyal nature.
A loving wife is deeply affectionate toward her husband a true companion before she is a spouse.
And “fertile” means one who bears many children.
Her condition can be inferred from the women of her family, and she does not use anything that prevents pregnancy, even if her husband were to permit it.
If a wife is devoid of these two qualities, then she will not find in marriage what Allaah has commanded and encouraged.
So marry (another), for in that case you have not yet truly married.
And none remains patient upon humiliation intended for him…
Except two who are most abased:
A donkey driven by the living, and a peg fixed into the ground.
This one is tied entirely to the place of degradation…
And that one is struck, and no one pities him.

The Da'iyah (Caller) Wife
When a wife enters her home and settles within it, she finds herself in one of two situations:
First: Either the husband is committed [to the religion]. This husband requires assistance, strengthening, and an increase of goodness in his heart. He needs help with voluntary work, attending lectures, memorizing and reviewing the Qur'aan, maintaining ties of kinship, and other matters that increase his record of deeds, making him feel a positive difference between his state before marriage and after it.
Second: The wife enters the home of a husband who has some religious violations. Here, she is in his home to perform Da'wah (calling to Allaah) and Jihad for this husband.
Some sisters, when the matter of Da'wah and fulfilling it is mentioned to them, excuse themselves by citing the husband's bad character or his reaching a significant level of corruption.
Perhaps the most profound example of a tyrannical and despotic husband is Pharaoh. Despite his tyranny and oppression, he yielded to his wife's opinion when she requested something impossible that he was actively working against.
He was killing the sons of the Children of Israel, but when Allaah—Mighty and Majestic is He—willed for Musa—peace be upon him—to remain alive, He made the wife of Pharaoh the cause for that! She said to her husband:
وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِّي وَلَكَ ۖ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَىٰ أَن يَنفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
And the wife of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "A comfort of the eye for me and for you. Kill him not, perhaps he may be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not (the result of that). Surah Al-Qasas (28:9)
The tyrant submitted, became pleased, and accepted; so he left Musa—peace be upon him—and did not kill him. This agreement from Pharaoh came as a result of the love for his wife that she had cultivated in his heart until she was able to achieve what she desired.
In the women of today, there is a clear example: when one of them wants to go to an occasion or a wedding party and her husband refuses, she begins to flatter and endear herself to him until the answer comes as she wishes. Calling to Allaah—Mighty and Majestic is He—is more deserving and worthier than a wedding feast or a party with colleagues.

🛡️Hijab A Protection in Times of Widespread Trials 🛡️
Ash-Shaykh Abee
Hudayfah Abdul-Ghani
Al-Omaree ((حظه الله))
✍️ Wrote ⤵️
If the Hijāb ➡️was prescribed at a time when women were the purest of women on earth, to preserve them from men who were the purest of men on earth then what about a time in which trials have become widespread, hearts have weakened, and restraint has diminished, to the point that some people now discourage what was legislated as a protection, not a restriction?
In this age, women are in far greater need of adhering to the Hijāb than at any previous time.
Ours is an era in which the enemies call to corruption, exploiting the corruption of women and the first thing they strive for is to remove her ḥijāb.
Those who most promote this call are wolves among men, whose manhood has weakened and whose desires have overpowered them.
So remain firm, remain firm. Indeed, the one granted success is the one who stands firm not the one who slips away.

Characteristics Of The Salafee Woman
Ash-Shaykh Abee
Abdirahman Abdullaah
Al-'Iryanee ((حفظه الله))
Relays a ⤵️
Question: ⤵️
What are the characteristics of the Salafi woman?
Our Shaykh, the Great scholar Imām al-Wādiʿī (May Allaah have mercy upon him)
said:⤵️
The question is broad and extensive,
so we will mention what Allaah makes easy:
The characteristics of the Salafee woman:
1.She adheres to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah ((ﷺ ))according to her ability, upon the understanding of the righteous predecessors (Salaf).
2. She should also تعامل (deal) kindly with Muslims
and even with non-Muslims.
For Allaah, the Might and Majestic
Says:⤵️
{And speak to people good [words]}
[Al-Baqarah: 83]
And He says:⤵️
{Indeed, Allaah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due}
[An-Nisā’: 58]
And He also says:⤵️
{And when you speak, be just}
[Al-Anʿām: 152]
And He says:⤵️
{O you who believe, stand firmly for justice as witnesses for Allaah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives…}
[An-Nisā’: 135]
3. It is also obligatory for her to adhere to Islamic dress and to avoid resembling the enemies of Islam.
Imām Aḥmad narrated in his Musnad from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar (رضي الله عنهما) that the Messenger
of Allaah(( ﷺ))
Said:⤵️
“Whoever imitates a people is from them.”
And Allaah says regarding
clothing:⤵️
{O Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks over themselves…}
[Al-Aḥzāb: 59]
And at-Tirmidhī narrated from ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd ((رضي الله عنه))
that the Prophet ((ﷺ ))
Said:↘️
“The woman is ʿawrah (to be covered), and when she goes out, Shayṭān beautifies her (for others).”
4. We advise her to be good to her husband if she wants a happy life.
The Prophet ((ﷺ ))
Said:⤵️
“If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, the angels curse her.”
(Agreed upon)
And in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim:⤵️
then the One in the heaven is غضبان (angry) with her.”
5. Likewise, she should take care of her children with an Islamic upbringing.((Education))
Al-Bukhārī and Muslim narrated from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar (رضي الله) عنهما) that the Prophet ((ﷺ))
Said:↩️
“All of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for your flock.”
And he mentioned that the woman is:
“A shepherd in her husband’s home and responsible for her flock.”
And in the two Ṣaḥīḥs, from
Maʿqil ibn Yasār ((رضي الله عنه)):↩️
“No shepherd entrusted with a flock by Allaah, who does not sincerely care for it, except that he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise.”
So she should not let Daʿwah distract her from raising her children.
6. She should be content with what Allaah has decreed regarding the preference of men over women.
Allaah says:⤵️
{And do not wish for that by which Allaah has made some of you exceed others} [An-Nisā’: 32]
And He says
:
{Men are caretakers of women…}
[An-Nisā’: 34]
And in the two Ṣaḥīḥs, from
Abū Hurayrah ((رضي الله عنه)), the
Prophet ((ﷺ ))said:⤵️
“Treat women well, for they were created from a rib…”
So the woman should be patient with what Allaah has decreed regarding this distinction
but this does not mean that she is to be oppressed.
The Prophet ((ﷺ)) said
(in Jāmiʿ At-Tirmidhī):⤵️
“Treat women well, for they are like captives with you… You have rights over them and they have rights over you…”
And in the Sunan and Musnad Aḥmad, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ḥaydah (رضي الله عنه):
A man asked: “O Messenger of Allaah, what is the right of one’s wife?”
He said:⤵️
“That you feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not strike the face, do not insult her, and do not abandon her except within the home.”
Therefore, we should all cooperate upon goodness:
The man:⤵️
• Treats his wife in an Islamic manner
• Helps her seek knowledge
• Assists her in Daʿwah
The woman:⤵️
• Treats her husband in an Islamic manner
• Helps him in knowledge
• Helps him in Daʿwah
• Manages the household well
For Allaah says:⤵️
A person may claim to value love, Deen, and loyalty, but hardship reveals where the heart was truly anchored all along.
Many marriages appear strong during ease because comfort hides weaknesses.
But when hardship enters, the true foundations
become visible:⤵️
Was the relationship built upon taqwā or image?
Upon gratitude or entitlement?
Upon companionship or consumption?
Upon mutual sacrifice or mutual benefit?
The marriages that endure trials are usually those rooted in something deeper than appearances and temporary comforts.
They are built upon:
✅sincere faith,
✅emotional maturity,
✅patience,
✅gratitude,
✅realistic expectations,
✅mutual respect,
✅cooperation upon obedience to Allaah,
and the understanding that provision ultimately comes and goes by the decree of Allaah.
Allaah says:⤵️
“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth, lives, and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient.”
Al-Baqarah (:155)
So hardship itself is not proof of failure. Sometimes hardship exposes the weakness of foundations that were never truly built correctly from the beginning.
A marriage centered entirely around lifestyle can become fragile the moment lifestyle changes.
But a marriage built upon taqwā, mercy, loyalty, cooperation, and sincerity often becomes stronger through trials rather than destroyed by them.
This is why contentment (qanāʿah) remains one of the greatest treasures a believer can possess.
Because the one whose happiness depends entirely upon dunya will rarely remain emotionally stable for long. But the one whose heart is attached to Allaah can find peace even during periods of restriction and difficulty.
And perhaps this is one of the greatest forgotten qualities in modern relationships: not merely asking,
“Can this person provide comfort for me?”
but also asking,⤵️
“Can we remain loyal, respectful, and united when comfort disappears?”
https://t.me/AlMaktabahassuniyyah101
https://t.me/AlMaktabahassuniyyah101
Till The Dunyā Does Us Part
A reality that should be addressed with fairness, wisdom, and emotional intelligence is that financial strain and lifestyle expectations do affect many marriages.
People often speak about love, compatibility, and emotional connection, yet overlook how strongly material comfort can influence the atmosphere of a household, the emotional state of spouses, and even the stability of the relationship itself.
When a husband is no longer able to maintain a certain standard of living, provide material comforts, or sustain the lifestyle that the marriage became accustomed to, the peace within the home can begin to change.
Stress increases, patience weakens, gratitude decreases, and sometimes affection itself becomes tied to provision rather than genuine companionship.
This is not always because people are evil or insincere.
Rather, many have unknowingly built their marriages upon comfort more than character, and upon lifestyle more than resilience.
At the same time, balance is necessary in this discussion.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with desiring comfort, stability, or a good standard of living if Allaah has granted the means.
Islam does not call people to artificial poverty, nor does it prohibit enjoying the lawful blessings of Allaah.
A husband should strive to provide well for his family according to his ability, and a wife naturally appreciates security and stability within her home.
But Islam consistently teaches moderation.
Allaah says:⤵️
“And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly, but hold a medium way between that.”
[Al-Furqān (67)
So the believer neither becomes wasteful and excessive, nor neglectful and careless.
The middle path remains the most balanced path in wealth, lifestyle, and expectations.
However, beyond the discussion of provision lies a deeper and more uncomfortable question that many people avoid asking themselves honestly:
If everything changed tomorrow, would the marriage still survive?
If the husband lost his wealth unexpectedly… If the comfortable home became smaller… If the luxuries disappeared… If financial hardship entered the marriage for months or even years…
Would loyalty remain the same?
Would respect remain? Would patience remain? Would companionship remain? Would the spouses still see each other as blessings, or would resentment slowly replace mercy?
Would she continue to stand beside him during hardship, adapting to a simpler lifestyle with patience and emotional support? Would she still honour him when the worldly image of success begins to fade?
And equally important a point often ignored would he himself be capable of adapting to a life of simplicity?
Because in reality, attachment to luxury is not only found among women.
There are men who themselves cannot tolerate hardship, reduced status, modest living, or financial decline. Some men become emotionally dependent upon comfort, reputation, and material success to such an extent that they too struggle when life becomes restricted.
So this issue should not be discussed unfairly as though material attachment belongs to one gender alone.
In fact, there are righteous women and they are more numerous than many assume who would willingly live a simple life, even a life of hardship and zuhd, so long as they find:
Sincerity,
Masculine leadership,
Emotional safety,
Deen,
loyalty,
and tranquillity within the home.
There are women who would exchange luxury for peace.
Women who would prefer a small apartment filled with mercy over a mansion filled with tension, emotional neglect, and arrogance.
Women who would support a struggling husband if they genuinely saw sincerity, effort, responsibility, and Taqwā within him.
Likewise, there are men who value righteous companionship over endless material expectations and social competition.
This is why the true issue is often not wealth itself, but rather what the heart has become attached to.
