| 5 | A Response to Shaykh Al-Azhar, Aḥmad Aṭ-Ṭayyib, Concerning His Statements About the Salafi Methodology
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته.
📩Question📩
Our noble Shaykh, may Allāh bless you, preserve you, and protect you.
What is your response to the statements by Ahmad Tayyib Shaykh Al-Azhar made in this audio clip, particularly concerning the methodology of the Righteous Salaf (As-Salaf Aṣ-Ṣāliḥ)?
Would you also kindly offer some advice to the general Muslims who do not know the reality of the Salafi methodology or understand its fundamental principles, and who may be deceived by such statements?
We request that you clarify the truth regarding this matter and offer beneficial advice to the general Muslims.
May Allāh bless your knowledge and deeds, benefit others through you, preserve you, and protect you.
📨 Answered by📨
🎙Shaykh Abdulhameed
Al-Zoukory ((حفظه الله))
The Azharis have not been granted success because of the corruption of their Aqeedah.
They have not been granted success in many, many of the events taking place these days.
Their situation is like that described in the Yemeni proverb:
“There is a smell, while the people are searching with lights.”
Both those near and those far away have come to know of the oppression of the Houthis rather, of the heresy of the Houthi Rāfiḍī.
Then this foolish Azhari comes along and says:
﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا﴾
“And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both.”
[Sūrah Al-Ḥujurāt 49:9]
Even if they were Muslims, it would not be permissible to make peace with them, for they are Khawārij and transgressors.
So how much more so when they are heretical, wicked Rāfiḍah?
Then he uses this verse as evidence:
﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾
“And if two parties or groups among the believers…”
No! It is not open to reconciliation except in the manner that is required.
So the Azharis have not been granted success because of the corruption of their Aqeedah.
You find among them grave-worshippers.
You find among them the Muʿtazilah.
You find among them inclinations towards the Rāfiḍah, or even approval of them and
encouragement for them.
And Allāh is the One Whose help is sought.

| 6 | Who is The Righteous Person?
Answered by our Virtuous Shaykh and Beneficial Author, Fayṣal al-Ḥāshidī—may Allāh preserve him.
Question:
A sister asks: Is a woman who falls into sins, faces many trials, and strives against herself in this worldly life considered among the righteous? Or do these shortcomings and struggles prevent her from being counted among the righteous?
We ask for a detailed clarification of this matter in light of the understanding of the scholars.
Answer:
Rather, this makes her among the righteous, as indicated by His statement, Exalted is He, says:
{وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن ذَكَرٍ أَوۡ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٞ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا}
“And whoever does righteous good deeds, male or female, and is a (true) believer [in the Oneness of Allâh (Muslim)], such will enter Paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a speck on the back of a date-stone, will be done to them."

| 7 | ⁉️Are Ahlus Sunnah Jāmiyyah
Question:
I went on a visit to our lands, and I found some of the Ḥizbiyyīn there. So I debated with them, and they were responding to me from the book al-Jāmiyyah fī al-Mīzān, claiming that Ahlus Sunnah are upon the school of al-Jāmī, and speaking ill of al-Wādiʿī and al-Ḥajūrī.
Answer:
Ahlus Sunnah are not Jāmiyyah. This is from among the slanders with which the people of innovation label Ahlus-Sunnah. At times, they used to call Ahlus-Sunnah "Ḥashawiyyah," and at times they called them "Nāṣibah." The Rāfiḍah say concerning Ahlus Sunnah that they are "Nawāṣib," and the Nāṣibah say concerning Ahlus Sunnah that they are "Rawāfiḍ." Due to this, it is attributed to al-Shāfiʿī that he said:
إِنْ كَانَ رَفْضًا حُبُّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَلْيَشْهَدِ الثَّقَلَانِ أَنِّي رَافِضِي
"If loving the family of Muḥammad is rafḍ, then let the two creations (mankind and jinn) witness that I am a Rāfiḍī."
And there was a period—and it still exists—when the people of innovation labeled Ahlus Sunnah "Wahhābiyyah," to the point that they said al-Bukhārī is a "Wahhābī." Look into the vast time gap between al-Bukhārī and Imām Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb! And they even said concerning Shaykh al-Islām (Ibn Taymiyyah) that he is a Wahhābī, even though there are centuries between them and Imām Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb.
And this also is from that, as they say that Ahlus Sunnah are Muqbilīs, or they say Jāmiyyah, or they say Ḥajāwirah. And we responded to this doubt in the treatise "al-Anjum al-Zāhirah fī man Ramā Ahl al-Sunnah bi-annahum Ḥajāwirah."
Yes. We said: "As for me personally, I am Ḥajūrī by lineage, not by madhhab. As for the madhhab, you would not be pleased for someone to say to you that you are Ḥajūrī. We are Ahlus Sunnah; we are honored and we take pride that we are upon the Sunnah. And this is not an honor or a favor from us upon the Sunnah; rather, it is an honor for us that we are upon the Sunnah."
As it is said regarding Ḥassān (may Allāh be pleased with him) that he said:
مَا إِنْ مَدَحْتُ مُحَمَّدًا بِقَصِيدَتِي وَلَكِنْ مَدَحْتُ قَصِيدَتِي بِمُحَمَّدٍ
I did not praise Muḥammad ﷺ with my poem, but I praised my poem with Muḥammad ﷺ.
Yes. So we are Ahlus Sunnah, and upon that we proceed, and we are not followers of any of these eminent imāms.
Muḥammad Amān al-Jāmī was a man from Ahlus Sunnah, a person from among the people. Did anyone from Ahl al-Sunnah follow him in everything? Rather, perhaps some of Ahlus Sunnah, like our Shaykh Muqbil (may Allāh have mercy upon him), used to criticize him in some issues.
Yes. And regardless of what he was correct in or otherwise, Ahlus Sunnah are not followers of any particular person. They do not blindly follow anyone, big or small, as the Muslim Brotherhood do, who exalted Sayyid Quṭb, Ḥasan al-Bannā, and the like.
So, this book is from the books of the people of misguidance and from the books of the people of innovation.

| 9 | “Do not turn us away disappointed. We have come to you as visitors, so do not turn us away disappointed.”
What is this? Is this Tawheed or Shirk, O brothers?
This is Shirk, O people!
But they do not even know what Shirk is in the first place. They do not know Shirk. They think that this is Tawheed and not Shirk.
This Shirk is plainly evident, and it is extremely explicit Shirk!
“We have come to you as visitors, so do not turn us away disappointed.”
And he cries at the graves.
By Allāh, he cries bitterly, hoping that those dead people will respond to him, while he seeks rescue from them and supplicates to them, and refuge is sought with Allāh, asking that he not return from them disappointed.
Dead people! They have become remains. They have become decayed bones.
Poor people! They need someone to supplicate for them, not someone to supplicate to them.
This deceased person, if he was righteous, needs someone to supplicate for him, not that he should be supplicated to besides Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He.
So they want to repel the Shirk that exists among them by using a ḥadīth such as this, saying that Shayṭān despaired.
Yes, he despaired of being worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula when he saw that society turning towards Tawheed, the society of the Companions.
So despair entered him, and the Prophet ((ﷺ))informed us of the despair that occurred to him.
It does not mean absolute despair.
Rather, at that time, he thought that he would never be worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula.
After that, circumstances changed, that generation passed away, ignorant generations came, and what occurred of Shirk with Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He, occurred.
And now, what takes place during the visitation to Hūdah, is it Tawheed or Shirk?
By Allāh, they commit acts of Shirk there. Whoever has gone there has seen them. Whoever has gone there has seen the clear acts of Shirk.
And this is what we used to see when we were young here.
We used to see it at a place farther away. What did they call that grave? That grave over there, the one here.
They used to circumambulate it and throw fishing nets over it.
Ibn Qamrī.
Excellent!
What was his name, O Ṣoofee?
Ibn Qamrī!
Answer this!
This Ibn Qamrī, whom we used to visit when we were young: when fish became scarce in the sea, they would go, take their fishing nets, and cast them over that grave, hoping that the catch from the sea would increase.
Lā ilāha illā Allāh!
What do you call this?
And your going to that Sayyid, O Ṣoofees!
Your going to that Sayyid who makes those charms and amulets for you, and then the next day you find the sea abundant with fish!
Now, is that from Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He?
That man with the hair, I have forgotten his name.
Is this Tawheed or Shirk?
And refuge is sought with Allāh!
How many of your disgraceful practices could we enumerate?
These are only the ones we ourselves know in our own land, let alone what takes place in Tarīm and elsewhere, and what others know about them.
As for you, Shayṭān is pleased with you! Shayṭān has not despaired of you!
Shayṭān is happy with you and those like you!
Shayṭān has despaired of the people of Tawheed worshipping him in the Arabian Peninsula.

| 10 | Refuting the Ṣoofees’ Claim That Shirk No Longer Exists in the Arabian Peninsula
📩Question:📩
He says:⤵️
“The Ṣoofees say that there is no such thing as Shirk because the Prophet ((ﷺ)) said: ‘Shayṭān has despaired of being worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula.’ We request clarification.”
📨Answered by:📨
🎙Shaykh Abū Billal
Al-Hadramee ((حفظه الله))
Answer:⤵️
The Scholars have spoken about this ḥadīth and explained that the meaning of Shayṭān having despaired is in consideration of what he saw of the establishment of Tawheed during that era and the establishment of Tawheed among that generation.
Thus, he despaired of being worshipped after that in the Arabian Peninsula.
This is a statement from the Prophet ((ﷺ)) informing us of the condition of Shayṭān: when he saw Tawheed spreading and saw the Companions upon Tawheed, he despaired of being worshipped thereafter in the Arabian Peninsula. This is one of the meanings.
“Indeed, Shayṭān has despaired of being worshipped by those who pray in the Arabian Peninsula.”
It has also been said that the definite article in “those who pray” refers to a particular group, meaning those who prayed from among the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh ((ﷺ)).
Shayṭān despaired of being worshipped by them.
And indeed, he did not attain worship or Shirk after Tawheed had been established in the Arabian Peninsula and goodness had been established in the Arabian Peninsula among that generation. Shirk did not occur after that among them, so he despaired of being worshipped by those who prayed in the Arabian Peninsula.
This does not mean that Shirk does not exist, for the Prophet ((ﷺ)) informed us that the buttocks of the women of [Tribe] Daus would sway around a grave as they circumambulated it.
This is clear evidence of the existence of Shirk.
Likewise, reality itself disproves this statement by which they intend to divert the evidence from its meaning, or by which they seek to use this evidence as proof, although it contains no evidence for them. Rather, it is to be understood according to what has preceded regarding some of the meanings mentioned by the people of knowledge.
Indeed, reality demonstrates that people continue to seek rescue from those from whom it is impermissible to seek rescue, from those who are incapable of providing what is being sought from them.
People continue to supplicate to other than Allāh with supplications of Shirk.
People continue to slaughter for other than Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He, and make vows to other than Allāh, Majestic and Most High is He.
All of this is Shirk, and the evidences have come concerning it.
I mean some people; I do not mean all people.
Some people continue to slaughter for other than Allāh, make vows to other than Allāh, and supplicate to other than Allāh.
Among them are those who call upon Al-Miḥḍār, invoking his name, “Swift Rescuer!”
I hear people calling out like this. What do you call this?
And what is this that you do with ʿAydarūs? “O ʿAydarūs!”
And what the Rāfiḍah do with Al-Ḥassan and Al-Ḥussein, and what they do with ʿAlī.
And you do this with the Messenger of Allāh ((ﷺ,)) along with other manifestations of Shirk with Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He, which have become widespread.
This is merely throwing sand into the eyes of the heedless. They want to conceal their Shirk by using a ḥadīth such as this, while they have no proof in it.
For Shirk has become apparent among them and among others from the people of Shirk, and refuge is sought with Allāh.
And the people of innovation, the Ṣoofees, their methodology, as you know, is founded upon acts of Shirk.
Once, As-Saqqāf came here. He came from Jordan, a man called As-Saqqāf.
They circulated an old video. I do not know who filmed them and exposed them in that video which we saw.
At that time, I was at the beginning of my steadfastness, and Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Safīn, whenever they were mentioned, would remind them of that video.
He came to those graves and said:
“We have come to you…”

📤Question📤
“Is it permissible to work for someone whose wealth is entirely unlawful, because the wages will be from the unlawful wealth itself? Your question indicates the difference.
Your statement that their wealth contains unlawful wealth indicates that not all the wealth they possess is from unlawful sources.
Yes, if the wealth is mixed, then there is no harm, and the sin is upon him.
However, if you know that all the wealth is unlawful and that you will eat from unlawful wealth, then you should avoid working with these people.
And avoiding working with these people also does not mean that if a person is asked to work, he must inquire, investigate, and ask the one who hired him or requested him to work how he acquired his wealth.
Do not ask. Work, yes, and you are entitled to the wages.
Then, if you learn after that that he works in what is unlawful, then whatever was yours is yours, and as for what remains, you leave this work and look for another job.

| 13 | Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope.”
🎙The Virtuous Shaykh:
Abū Ḥamzah Eesa
Al-Muṣannif ((حفظه الله ورعاه))
📩A Brother says:📩 ⤵️
“Regarding what was the statement of Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed: ‘Their sides forsake their beds’?”
This is in Sūrah As-Sajdah:
“Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allāh’s Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them.”
It has been reported by Imām At-Tirmidhī, on the authority of Anas (رضي الله عنه), that this verse, “Their sides forsake their beds,” was revealed concerning waiting for this prayer which is called Al-ʿAtamah, the ʿIshāʾ prayer, may Allāh bless you, which is called Al-ʿAtamah.
Therefore, “Their sides forsake their beds” refers to waiting for this prayer which is called Al-ʿAtamah.
And this ḥadīth was mentioned by Imām Al-Wadi'ee (رحمه الله) in Aṣ-Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Musnad min Asbāb An-Nuzūl, under this verse:
“Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allāh’s Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them.”
May Allāh bless you.

Ash-Shaykh Abdulazeez

Explains⤵️
It is obligatory upon the Muslim to turn to Allaah, asking Him to keep him steadfast upon his religion, to seek refuge in Him from trials and tribulations, to beware of Shirk, and to be diligent in acquiring Islamic knowledge and sound Aqeedah.
He must be diligent in adhering to Tawheed, learning it, giving it due attention, and purifying it from the impurities of Shirk.
Indeed, the Prophet((ﷺ)) remained in Makkah for thirteen years calling to Tawheed.
And those chosen ones from among the Children of Israel, who witnessed the tremendous signs that Mūsā (Moses) brought, and saw how Allāh parted the sea for them, making a dry pathway through it, and drowned their enemy despite all of that, they worshipped the calf.
And when they passed by a people who worshipped idols, they said:
“O Mūsā (Moses)! Make for us an ilāh (a god) as they have ālihah (gods).”
And the Prophet of Allaah, Ibrāhīm (عليه الصلاة والسلام), the leader of the Ḥunafāʾ (those who worship Allaah Alone) and the father of the Prophets, had broken the idols with his own hands, had been tested by the polytheists, had been saved from worshipping other than Allāh, and had emigrated and left his people.
Yet, despite all of this, he would supplicate to his Rabb, saying:
And (remember) when Ibrâhîm (Abraham) said: O my Rabb Make this city (Makkah) one of peace and security, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.

| 19 | You Are a Traveller in This Worldly Life
🎙️Ash-Shaykh
Abu Mundhir 'Ammar
Al-Hawbanee ((حفظه الله))
⬇️ Explains ⤵️
True bliss is not found in this worldly life.
If bliss were found in this worldly life and its adornments, you would see those who possess abundant wealth living happily throughout their lives and all their changing circumstances. However, they may be afflicted by worries and distress even more than you are, while you live in happiness, with an expanded chest and peace of mind, even if you are poor.
Live through these few remaining days in this fleeting worldly life, which will inevitably come to an end. Then death will come, by the permission of Allāh, and you will live like a king, enjoying bliss that you can neither imagine nor conceive.
When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) understood the reality of Paradise, the reality of its bliss, and the goodness prepared for its inhabitants, he turned away from this worldly life. He paid no attention to it, did not concern himself with it, and was not eager to attain it.
Ibn Masʿūd (رضي الله عنه) said:
“We entered upon the Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه وسلم) while he was sleeping on a mat, and it had left marks on his side.”
You know what a mat is. It is made from palm leaves that are woven together until they become something upon which a person can sleep. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to sleep upon it.
When the Companions (رضي الله عنهم) saw him in that condition, they felt saddened for him.
They said:
“O Messenger of Allāh, why do we not prepare some bedding for you to sleep upon?”
So the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), with an expanded chest, genuine contentment, tranquillity of mind, and peace of soul, said:
“What have I to do with this worldly life? I am only like a rider who seeks shade beneath a tree, then departs and leaves it behind.”
This worldly life, with all the pleasures and wealth it contains, and all its adornments and worldly possessions, is entirely perishable.
People live within a reality that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) illustrated through this ḥadīth.
What could a traveller possibly take with him?
What will he take?
He will take nothing except some provisions.
If you intend to travel somewhere, or you wish to go to a particular place, will you take all your furniture with you? Will you take your house, its stones, your belongings, and everything you own?
No!
You will take something light so that you do not burden yourself during your journey.
Something light provisions sufficient to sustain you along your journey.
