The attacks unfolded as follows: Wednesday, September 16 Bomzika – An attack on a Congolese army barracks within the village using machine guns resulted in the death of one soldier, the flight of the others, and the burning of the barracks. - A raid on the village caused residents to flee; over 40 homes were burned, property was seized, and the attackers withdrew. - A clash with an army patrol near the village involving machine guns resulted in the deaths of three soldiers, injuries to others, and the patrol's withdrawal. Makutanio – An attack on an army barracks within the village using machine guns resulted in the deaths of three soldiers, injuries to five others, their flight, the seizure of three rifles, and the burning of the barracks.
