Now Babi is talking ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ

Sound on ๐Ÿ”Š. Even the pigeon is courting and showing off in front of me ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Wth is the meaning of this ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

Got early to the pitch. Waiting for them in the park ๐Ÿ˜.

So random thought in the morning. Medicine students from my batch are still in Uni ๐Ÿ˜. What a wise decision it was to study engineering ๐Ÿคฃ.

Heyyyyy Saturday is back ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

Friday Progress: โœ… Done with Demo โœ… Finally complying with CI/CD ๐Ÿคฉ โœ… Claude 201 lesson from Claude ppl ๐Ÿ˜ โœ… Weโ€™re playing 2 games this week (Football ) โœ… Fully week in the office โŒ Unexpected expenses ๐Ÿ˜ฉ โŒ Havenโ€™t gone to gym still (I need motivation ppl ๐Ÿ˜ญ) It was a good, busy and fast week tbh

Guess whose back? Itโ€™s Friday baby ๐Ÿ˜. I wish yโ€™all for something to lift you up like this crane ๐Ÿ—๏ธ is lifting the worker to
Guess whose back? Itโ€™s Friday baby ๐Ÿ˜. I wish yโ€™all for something to lift you up like this crane ๐Ÿ—๏ธ is lifting the worker to the top of the floor ๐Ÿคฉ. Donโ€™t get used to this btw ๐Ÿ˜‚. This is just some random Friday wishes.

For anyone interested checkout this link. This is going to be in late night hours in Ethiopia if Iโ€™m not mistaken from 2 - 2:45 am. But if youโ€™re looking for where to start from resume, networking and other perspectives, I think youโ€™ll find it beneficial.

People working in Antropic have a term called Claudify ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. It means to allow Claude to do research on particular questions theyโ€™ve ๐Ÿ˜. True btw [From someone who works there].

So I am currently working on something similar to Apache Airflow if any of you knows it. I was given on task and completed that and then another completed that as well until a big decision came. The decision was to change the repository and most of the things I worked on. Why because another team owns the queues I was working on and they want to deprecate that. So for the orchestrator I need a common template used with in my department and went to our doc page to create one. Followed the steps and done. Iโ€™m happy so far but itโ€™s time to test the sh*ts I broke ๐Ÿ˜. So I started to build the image and it builds fine though it takes 30 mins ๐Ÿ˜ญ. And then we docker composed up and everything is fine then when we exec everything breaks and the response was the service is not up. And Iโ€™m like wth I just built and upped the container. Beka wede gra wede kegn bye bfelg bzor wef and I spent an entire day on it and guess what the next day was a demo day ๐Ÿ˜ญ. So I left late that day almost eskemecheresha energy heje around 7pm smtg. Keza next day I told my boss what was going on and there is a simple mechanism I usually check whether the issue is mine or not. Iโ€™ll tell you another day. So the issues was with the template and now I have to find the team that works on it. Took me 10 mins but found them and talked to the person who was online. Had a back and forth chat with him. Then he said I just checked out template and it works fine and I was like no itโ€™s not. So I sent a dummy PR link to check and he said owwwww yeah youโ€™re using the deprecated template. And sent me a link to the new template and all this happened when I was in a meeting with my boss for the demo day. Anyways I got started with it again. Now if the doc was updated I wouldnโ€™t have wasted two days 1 working and 1 debugging. Anyways yhea this is the whole story with context.

A little lesson from my 1:1 today Do feel territorial because you donโ€™t own the code, the team owns the code and you just own the responsibility of delivering it. So just focus on delivering quality than being territorial.

The world moves fast just to prove you wrong ๐Ÿ˜‚

We have sun today. What a day to be midweek ๐Ÿคฉ

This is why I say SWE is beyond the codes ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Detailed story coming soon. This time itโ€™s not a fun one just lesson. Till then here is the context. The issue I was scratching my head to solve yesterday happened because I was using an outdated template but the doc is also outdated. Iโ€™ve to find the current template by asking around after wasting an entire day ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

Well done Lozi, a well deserved recognition from the book lovers though Iโ€™m not one ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Another day another sh*t to break ๐Ÿ˜‚

Me making a 1 min change on the repo and docker taking 30 min to build that change so I can test it ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

๐Ÿš€ Introducing Dataset.ET The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages. Today we are launching Dataset.ET โ€” an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages. Why this matters: Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages. Dataset.ET is changing that. What we are building: โ€ข Speech datasets โ€ข Text datasets โ€ข Community-validated language corpora โ€ข Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI How you can help: 1๏ธโƒฃ Record sentences using our Telegram bot 2๏ธโƒฃ Validate recordings from other contributors 3๏ธโƒฃ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages No technical skills needed โ€” just your voice and your language. ๐Ÿค– Start contributing: https://t.me/dataset_et_bot ๐ŸŒ Learn more: https://dataset.et ๐Ÿ’ฌ Join the community: https://t.me/dataset_et Together we can teach AI to understand Ethiopia. ๐Ÿ“ข Community leaders & channel admins:
If you run a Telegram group or community and believe Ethiopian languages should be part of the future of AI, we would really appreciate it if you could share this post with your community. Your support can help thousands of people contribute their language and voice to this initiative. Thank you!
