ስሙኝማ 😊 I used to write short blog posts on Notion whenever I ran into errors or learned something new. Now that I’m building my portfolio, I’ve added those posts there too. To be honest, I don’t even know if I’m writing “proper” blogs 😅 they’re more like learning notes. But if you’re interested, I can share the link and I’d really appreciate your feedback. What do you think?

So this is midweek ig. Time flies so fast besmam. So this week my department has an innovation week. Which means we put our main tasks aside and compete in smtg like department hackathon. And this is included in the planning so it doesn’t affect when you say no I don’t have update I wasn’t working on it. Two benefits. For the department they find problems that you’d not notice normally and engineers spend time solving them. For the employees this is their chance to experiment on different things they’ve in mind tech stacks, approaches, and other things that would elevate them as well as the department. You can add more or disagree but yhea I’m working on react this week 😁. Two repos huge codebase and I’ve no idea what I’m doing in the codebase tbh 😂. I might break smtg in the production wait for me here.

So I said I’ll talk about memory profiling, what it is and why it is useful. So basically profiling means collecting stats on the usage of particular resource. In this case how much memory is the program using. You can use different libraries for that in python but I’m using memory_profiler. Basically what I’m doing is collecting the memory status of the current system and my other team mate will collect the memory state of our proposed implementation and trash talk about the current system in demo. Any question in the comment.

So one of my team mates is working from home today and guess the reason why? Nahhhh don’t think too much I’ll tell you. It’s because they’re shooting avengers dooms day in his neighbourhood 😱. How cool is that 🥹. I’m so jealous 😒.

Anyways got to gym in the morning which was the worst decision 😭 because my entire day was scheduled with meeting and I was fighting with my life not to sleep 😭 anyways gonna change the schedule. Ain’t no way I’m doing morning gyms

🔥 Claude Code is now writing 100% of its own code and its creator let it happen Claude Code’s lead developer has admitted that every single contribution over the past 30 days was written by Claude itself not as an experiment, but as normal workflow. 🔸 The developer is Boris Cherny, widely regarded as the original creator and “founder” of Claude Code, which began as his side project in 2024. 🔸 In the last month alone, Claude Code: • shipped 259 pull requests • made 497 commits • added ~40,000 lines of code • deleted ~38,000 lines, with every line generated by Claude Code + Opus 4.5. 🔸 The human role has shifted to orchestration: prompts, reviews, architecture decisions not typing code. 🔸 Claude can now run continuously for minutes, hours, even days, using Stop hooks to manage long-lived development loops. 🔸 This isn’t toy automation or autocomplete, it’s end-to-end software production at scale, driven by the system itself. 🔸 What started as a side project has quietly become a proof point for a new programming paradigm.
Software development is crossing from human-written with AI assistance to AI-written with human supervision and this is likely the slowest this transition will ever be.

Smtg for Monday devs 😁 👇 👇 👇

So this is a Turkish song and I learnt the total gist of it is even in front of death I’ll still choose you. Idk the title and I’ll have to search for it. But yhea this was from last nights dinner 🍽️. Have a lovely and well deserved Sunday 😊.

Just a walk in the park and the birds are 😍😍😍

So today’s plan was for solo hiking and also a dinner event at night but I’ve to cancel the hiking because some came from Ethiopia and I’m spending the day with them 😁. Today is Amharic day 😊.

Okay we’re wrapping up the week. Let’s go over this week’s progress. ✅ Handed off my sprint task ✅ Got myself a profiling task 😂 we’ll talk about profiling once I have a good idea of what it is and how it’s done 😂 ✅ Reserved a dinner spot for London A2SV alumni and supporters gala. Maybe as a supporter who knows ✅ Played league game yesterday and we won 🙌 ❌ I didn’t work from home this week 😩 ❌ I declare bankruptcy now 😭. Have a lovely Friday and let’s go for the weekend 😊.

One thing I learnt today was it’s better to have a feature flag and then roll back as a backup for the feature flag. This helps you in creating a defensive code which will work if your new feature is working perfectly fine will route to the old one if it is not. It’s an if else implementation so all it needs is a Boolean value. Think of it.

So went to the IT support today again 😩. Not because I forgot my password though, it’s because I forgot my phone which is used for 2-factor authentication 😭😭😂😂. We’re all set now.

Okay so today is a bit into technology specifically Python and Date related. So my current project is related to memory optimization by changing processes. We're making from a single instance to multiple instance of the same process with parallel processing. Anyways the data we use somehow large but not too large. We use polaris instead of pandas as a library and it's good for lazy execution and query optimization. It's also good for a large amount of data unlike pandas. Also If the data size is greater than tens of GB It's better to use spark than Polaris. Do your research for further If you're working with data 🤗.

Now uk one another thing about me. Thanks El 🙆‍♂️. Wanted to reply directly to your channel kezama erasn magalet new bye tewkut 😂

Busy day huhhhh forgot to write. Done with my sprint task and meetings 😁. On to the next task and we're back to Python 😍.

Okay as a milestone let me tell you smtg about me. Let's start with my name. My name is Mr. O still 😂😂😂. Are you kidding smenma kenegerkuachu mn keregn 😁. Anyways I completed my elementary and highschool in Hawassa at the same school. Back then I was that guy who is involved in most dramas possible in his class. During my time (yetlk sew were bedenb smu 😁), medicine was the highly sought department and uk when you're in elementary you'll be asked what do you want to be in the future. My answer has always been the same Engineer. Whenever we say Engineer they're some teachers who're like no you should aim for medicine. You can do it with your capabilities mnamn neger. I know someone who knows what I'm talking about 😁. Bacha the one thing about me was that I was one of the students who embodied everything you can ask for. I was smart, bully, betbach, miskin, ametsegna, mekari, temekari, religious, atheist, enklfam, tesatafi like anything you can ask for I was that person. I've witnesses in this channel btw if you think I'm lying 😂😂😂. Anyways fast forward today. I'm still some of them but dropped some of them as well like being smart 😂😂😂. Anyways nice to meet you. We'll continue some other time.
