𝟮𝟰-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 Natnael Getenew, a self-taught developer from Addis Ababa, has been named one of the winners of the AWS AIdeas global competition, selected from more than 10,000 submissions across 115 countries. His platform, Ivy, is a compressed AI model (under 260MB) that runs on Android devices without an internet connection. It proactively calls students and delivers personalized lessons, quizzes, and flashcards through 21 AI-powered tools. When connected, Ivy integrates with AWS cloud services; offline, it operates entirely on-device. Chosen by an AWS expert panel for its strong technical execution and creative problem-solving, Natnael’s project earned him a $10,000 cash prize along with $1,000 in AWS credits.

⭐️Have you seen this video? MIT just built an AI system that can control human muscles using small electric signals. It connects to a person’s arm and sends gentle pulses to move specific muscles. The AI decides how the arm should move in real time. The project is called Human Operator A small team created it in just a few days during a hackathon and it won first place. The idea? Help people learn new skills faster or recover from injuries by letting AI guide their movements.

This feels like something straight out of sci-fi… but it’s already here.
