⚔️🇵🇰 What is Pakistan's actual role in Saudi Arabia's fight against the Houthis? Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi territory and reaffirmed his commitment to the Mecca Defense Agreement, stating "unwavering" support for the kingdom's sovereignty. Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed earlier this week to activate "deterrence measures" under the mutual defense agreement, and rapidly deploy forces to the kingdom to counter Houthi strikes. Pakistan and Türkiye are providing a "supporting role" to Saudi Arabia in its standoff with the Houthis, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry (ISPR) confirmed that Pakistani forces were already in Saudi Arabia, noting that they had maintained a presence there "for decades."
