We already had enough, but they tricked us into thinking we wanted more.
Your bread is moldy, and your circus is gay. I donât want a car that breaks for me. I donât want the knowledge of all humanity in my pocket. It was enough to ride my bike to the hangout to see who else is already there. Now the hangouts are online, and they suck by comparison.
Today I noticed a camera pointed into the driveway of a park. It should be none of your fucking business if I want to feed the ducks or go for a walk. You donât need to know what playground I take my kids to.
And itâs not enough to try to go back, because itâs already been ruined. Youâve got chicks learning to crochet because itâs the culturally cool thing to put in your âanalogue bagâ. Even the idea of unplugging has been ruined because everyone goes online to show off how âunpluggedâ they are. All the new bullshit they bought to fill the empty feeling we all have that never will. Next week itâll be in a closet. Next month itâll be on Facebook marketplace.
