watched linda linda linda and it feels like watching someone's precious core memories unfold. it's the kind of film you put on during a rainy afternoon, curled up with a cup of coffee and some snacks trying to take it all in. its like a warm hug you didn't know you needed. i wish i could be an exchange student in japan who was recruited in a band as a vocalist and end up becoming friends with all the members and make core memories while practicing day and night - how does it feel to live my dream son?

there is one thing that did bother me, though. the film is very much centered on the men while the women remain almost sidelined. they often feel more like pawns in the story and mary despite being so important to the plot comes across as a rather flat character.
but if i choose to look past that, about time is still an incredibly beautiful film about love, loss, family and life
