We just released Wikipedia Amharic on Hugging Face – thousands of Wikipedia articles translated to Amharic using our Aleph (፩) model. It's one of the largest Amharic knowledge bases out there (55k rows). Parallel corpus, full metadata, Apache 2.0 licensed. We just wrapped up the CoBuild Ethiopia AI Hackathon at Sheraton Addis. What stood out was the practical, diverse projects people built , AI tools giving farmers real-time market insights, an education tutorial assistant, and AI workflows that support health and public services. All built on Addis AI's platform with multimodal local language support, which made a real difference in accessibility. Thanks to everyone who showed up and made it meaningful.
