Here is my somewhat hopeful assessment of the situation: It is possible that Iran chose to target the US base in Qatar as they have a decent relationship allowing them to possibly coordinate a "show" of a response with all the missiles being intercepted and avoiding any US casualties. This could lead to de-escalation with the US, leaving Israel and Iran to trade blows for the next few days/weeks.

Qatari air defenses were activated to intercept six Iranian missiles launched toward U.S. military bases in Qatar. The missiles, aimed at targets near Doha, prompted an immediate response from Qatar’s defense systems to neutralize the threat and protect both local and allied forces. #HM #HMIntelligence
