By July 8, XRPL had recorded roughly 1 million tracked agent payments.
Today, September 24?
7,090,438 tracked payments.
That is roughly 7× growth in eleven weeks.
And around September 8, the count was only about 4.49 million.
So another 2.6 million+ machine payments appeared in roughly sixteen days.
Now read what BlackRock is talking about.
Its August research describes AI agents autonomously buying information, paying micropayments from wallets and settling those purchases over blockchain rails.
CoinDesk’s September 23 report says BlackRock sees stablecoins becoming an early winner because agents can use them to buy:

That is a serious cluster of finance, payments and blockchain companies all moving toward machine-native commerce.
I think the most powerful part is how XRP and RLUSD can work together.
RLUSD gives an AI agent predictable dollar pricing.
XRP gives the network its native asset and can also be used directly for payments.
XRPL settles in roughly 3–5 seconds with tiny predictable fees.
Then XRP Payment Channels can handle signed payment vouchers above 100,000 per second, which becomes incredibly interesting for continuous compute and inference sessions.
An agent could consume GPU time, data or API calls continuously and stream payment authorization as it goes.
That feels made for the machine economy.
