There is an argument to be made that longer-dated yields won't go down by as much as they did in the GFC as the short-end of the interest rate curve gets slashed by the Fed due to underlying structural changes from back then (e.g. the debt burden is much larger and the market will expect higher yields despite the Fed's measures).
Now, here's the thing, will they allow the long-end to remain high as the world is falling over? I doubt it, which is why I also expect them to carry out a policy of Yield Curve Control to try to tame the longer dated yields, and we have Japan's example to see that this works in practice, even if the debt burden is massive.
Nevertheless, if this prospect is worrying to you it's possible to get exposure to the short-end of the yield curve by buying $SHY, for example.

| 8 | It really does seem that the next economic crisis is going to start in Asia.
I always thought Europe would trigger it, but Japan is literally imploding, the US already intervened, and Japan is still imploding.
I don't see how ending the war now could fix Japan. | 249 |

What has changed
● I have reduce the target for additional purchases of Intuit stock ($INTU) to $305. I'm doing pyramid entry here.
● I have added $TLT to the list with a target purchase price of $70/share. That's a steep drop, and a big spike in yields. I think I'm going to hedge my bets a little bit on US treasuries. This ETF has treasuries with a bit shorter average duration, and they are not zero-coupon bonds. This is a stagflation bet.
● The probability of a near-term crash or drawdown has made me opt to take profit early and increase my cash position. I will be moving money into long duration Treasury bond ETFs if/when the market finally shits the bed, and targeting 60% cash + treasuries + gold. This strategy can only really shine if there is a combination of a market drawdown and significant rate cuts. Without the drawdown, you're missing out on bigger gains that you could have had from stocks. But if the economic macroenvironment looks like stagflation, I will have to abandon this strategy for something else.
My portfolio (everything greater than or equal to 1%):
16% cash
15% Lithium Americas
12% Nintendo
7% Hims
7% Surf Air Mobility
5% Petrobras
5% Sable Offshore Corp
5% Western Union
4.5% SPLB (corporate bond ETF)
4% Klarna
4% Sunrun
3.5% BYD
2.5% ZROZ (long duration treasuries)
2.5% Adobe
1.5% Hermes International
1.5% Ferrari
1.5% Intuit
1.5% BW Lpg
As always, this is not financial advice. I'm 1.6% black and 100% retarded, but somehow beating most fund managers at their job. | 287 |

| 11 | "As conflicts around the world highlight the vulnerability of global shipping lanes, China and Russia are reportedly weighing the possibility of turning a vast river into an inland cargo route to the rest of the world. At the heart of this ambition is the 4,248km (2,640-mile) Irtysh River, which originates in China’s western Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and runs through Kazakhstan before flowing into Russia’s Ob River and ending in the Arctic Ocean."
This will have no effect whatsoever on the various maritime blockages in the Middle East. It only connects Europe to China in a way that ZOG can only fuck up by causing a civil war in Kazakhstan.
