Learning Software Engineering During the Era of AI I am always very skeptical when professionals or scholars reassure engineers that AI will not steal their job and instead they should view it as a creative partner. This is mainly because none of us fully understand the power of AI and when it comes to intelligence, the human race has been second to none. But, now that's being threatened. Regardless of my skepticism, I enjoyed this video. TL; DR - Engineers become orchestrators -Students should go beyond learning code as quick as possible and go to the following: - Mastering the fundamentals (DSA, programming concepts ...) - Think about systems like an Architect - Go full-stack across disciplines - Get into other disciplines (prepare to wear many hats) - Learn to work with people - Focus on learning how to learn
