Desde joven, mostró un gran interés por las lenguas y las religiones indoeuropeas. Además de dominar el italiano y el español, también tenía conocimientos de catalán, árabe, griego, latín, turco, hebreo, chino, tibetano, sánscrito y persa, entre otros. Al comienzo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se alistó en el Ejército Real Italiano, combatiendo en el norte de África. Al mismo tiempo, expresó su fe hindú: «El capitán me prestó un comentario de Unamuno sobre Don Quijote, pero preferí la espiritualidad de los Puranas y los Upanishads hasta que me venció el sueño». Tras la caída de Mussolini, se alistó como voluntario en la 29.ª División de Granaderos Waffen de las SS (1.ª Italiana). 🌞 A Hinduist Roman in the ☠️ Pio Filippani Ronconi was an ethnic Roman born and raised in Spain. Pio was a member of a black aristocracy family. Since his youth, he was very interested in languages and Indo-European religions. Besides his fluency in Italian and Spanish, he was also competent in Catalan, Arabic, Greek, Latin, Turkish, Hebrew, Chinese, Tibetan, Sanskrit, and Persian, among others.
