| 3 | ☀️ Summer Semester 2025–2026
Dean's Office has published a post about the Summer Semester. It is not an additional exam session. It is a short, four-week study period created with the sole purpose of helping students prepare for the August Call, since the August Call is the last opportunity to earn the minimum number of credits required to progress to the next academic year.
The Summer Semester is available for both the Uzbek and Italian tracks. During these four weeks, students will attend 3 pairs of classes per week, taught by our own university professors. The cost is 1,000,000 UZS per subject, and each student may register for up to three subjects. Registration and payment are open until 11 July. An additional exam, extra points, and other forms of assessment might be provided during these classes by Uzbek Track professors, for Uzbek Track students only.
One important point that many students were worried about: the regular August Call is still taking place for the Italian Track. It remains free for everyone who is eligible. The Summer Semester fee covers only the additional preparation classes.

📅 4th Exam Session
While the official schedule hasn't been published yet, the 4th exam session is expected to take place around August 24th
Who should definitely take these exams?
1️⃣ Students who haven't earned enough credits
Remember that Italian track students who do not complete at least half of the annual credits can't progress to the next academic year.
➜ To enter the 2nd year, you need at least 30 credits.
➜ To enter the 3rd year, you need at least 60 credits.
If you're below these thresholds, you may be forced to retake the whole year
2️⃣Students applying for the Polito Exchange / Erasmus Scholarship
This is your last opportunity to earn additional credits before the exchange applications, which are usually announced at the 2nd half of September. As we discussed before, your GPA has little effect on scholarship. What matters is the number of extra credits you've earned

| 10 |  TTPU moving to "2+2" Double-Degree System
The new "2+2" system applies exclusively to incoming freshmen, meaning all currently enrolled students are completely unaffected and remain eligible to receive the Italian diploma without the mandatory requirement to complete their final years in Italy.
Under the new regulations, future students must study their first two years in Uzbekistan and their final two years physically in Italy to earn the Polito degree; those who complete all four years in Uzbekistan will receive only the local state diploma. Transferring to Italy for the third year will not be automatic, as it will depend on an annual quota and competitive criteria requiring high academic standing, successful completion of all prior subjects, and mandatory language certificates.
The transferring students are expected to cover their own expenses, but the universitis from both sides allow and will actively assist with applications for Italian regional grants (EDISU). Finally, academic operations remain unchanged across the board: Italian professors will continue teaching and conducting exams, existing exchange programs will remain active, and standard retake procedures will apply for individual failed subjects and etc.
