Siberian Adventures of InteRussia Fellows Come to a Close ✈️
What happens when you bring together a diverse group of international engineering fellows in the heart of Siberia? A fusion of cutting-edge artificial intelligence projects and a deep dive into the rich tapestry of Russian culture, that's what! Our InteRussia program participants have just concluded their journey that combined the best of both worlds.
The highlight of the final week was the presentation of scientific projects, which the groups prepared under the guidance of researchers from Novosibirsk State University.
Our fellows tackled important questions such as:
🟣How can AI tools be applied to improve the university admissions process?
🟣How can AI enable safer and faster mobility in "smart cities"?
🟣How can machine learning algorithms create more advanced temperature sensors?
🟣How can neural networks assist in diagnosing pneumonia from X-ray images?
Beyond the scientific achievements, they experienced the true spirit of Siberia and gain a deeper understanding of authentic Russia. In a display of Siberian camaraderie, one of the teams even sported t-shirts featuring the iconic Siberian bear! 🐻
As we bid farewell to our engineering fellows, we are confident that they will carry the spirit of Siberia and the insights gained from their time in Russia with them on their future endeavors.
