In 2017, the self-sufficient weapons industry of the 'Islamic State' made further progress and, in addition to rockets and mortars, also produced drones, RC car with an anti-Tank mine and rocket launchers, including anti-tank missiles.

The fact that IS terrorists were able to manufacture their own rocket launchers and anti-tank missiles is particularly interesting, although one wonders how long it would have taken IS to possibly manufacture shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles. IS also published the introduction to building its local anti-tank missiles in its weekly Naba magazine.

One of the most important aspects of the terrorist organization IS for its 'state building' was that its ‚caliphate’ was as self-sufficient as possible in all areas, including in the area of ​​the weapons industry, where in 2014-2015 it produced mortars and rockets primarily.

And why should I not worship the One Who has originated me, and to Whom you will be returned. ⚔️ Series on I.S' military When people watch videos of I.S battles, a lot of them pose questions of how a supposed militant group got their hands on such large quantities weapons & equipment, leading to some of them making up absurd conspiracy theories about Mossad, CIA, Aliens etc funding & arming I.S. But real experts point out how I.S was mainly armed through seizing weapons & equipments after attacking enemies' (which I.S had plenty of) patrols, bases, weapons depots, especially in war torn countries such as Syria, Iraq & Libya, where the regimes of those countries lost control of large swaths of lands and subsequently large bases & weapons depots in those lands. One of the most striking examples of this was the Ayyash weapons depot, a giant Syrian army weapons depot near the town of Ayyash in Deir Zour province, after I.S attacked this depot (which was not at its normal capacity since it was emptied by militias & the Syrian army itself while retreating) they seized: 4 tanks, 10 BMPs, 3 artillery guns, 350 tank rounds, 7,000 rockets, 30 ATGM launchers, 100 ATGM rounds, 410 RPG rounds, thousands of hand grenades, tens of tons of ammo in varying calibers. This is not to mention weapons & equipment seized from the army in large cities such as Mosul where I.S seized 2,300 Humvees according to an Iraqi PM, the real number is probably less but still huge.
