The 71-year-old elderly man appears in security camera footage walking on the sidewalk in Lapa while talking on the phone. The thief approaches and pulls the device from his hand, then runs away. Shortly after, the 17-year-old boy attempts to cross Domingos Rodrigues Street and is hit by a bus, which runs over his body. The suspect was taken to Brasilândia Hospital but died.
