When the Americans get a censorship cold, you can be sure Britain and Europe will get censorship pneumonia. The government may ask social media companies to remove content they perceive as harmful misinformation on social media platforms, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday in a case about Covid misinformation. ➑️ And the most outstanding aspect of the case, is that much of what they were censoring was true (and known to be so) and much of the government counter information was a lie.
But the Supreme Court said that those requests did not amount to coercion because they did show any injury.
Apparently millions of excess deaths don't count as injury. Follow @MadTParty on Telegram | 𝕏

I agree that we all need to be on the lookout as to whether Assange has been turned. His will be a powerful voice. For example, the coincidence of his arrival in Australia at exactly the same time as the Tucker Carlson tour there is suspicious. It takes months of planning for a tour like that. But there is another possibility about why the BBC (and the Guardian and all the other doubleplus good thinkers) who savagely attacked Assange years ago, are now treating him almost like a saint. There is a recurring dynamic in the west that has been going on for generations. While horrible crimes are being committed by the state, the press typically either covers them up or actively supports them. But many years later, this same press report on those distant crimes with moral indignation. And, with a bit of luck, many in the general public will not remember the previous stance supporting those crimes anyway. In the long run, they want to be perceived to be on the side of the good guys. but they cannot do that until it is harmless to TPTB. Has enough time gone by with Assange? And there is a further question. They (BBC, Guardian, etc.) know that their grip on the narrative is slipping. Gaza, in the current media environment, was/is a bridge too far in terms of total narrative control. Assange is an easy chip to give away, a sop to the anti-establishment. But yes, let's wait and see the future moves of Julian Assange. Follow @MadTParty on Telegram | 𝕏

The Great Lockdown Swindle Economically, how was lockdown for you? I would wager not great. But for the truly rich (people like Bezos, Gates and Musk) it was the best time ever. I guess they are just more clever than the rest of us and knew how to take advantage of a crisis. That must be it... Follow @MadTParty on Telegram | 𝕏

Was the global overreaction to Covid merely panic or were there vested interests and authoritarian ideologies pushing the hysteria? Alex Kriel follows the money as he asks, cui bono?
