För 501 år sedan den 6 juni 1523 valdes Gustav Vasa till kung i Sverige, vilket senare kom att lägga grunden för Sveriges självständighet. Vi tog oss då ur Kalmarunionen som primärt styrdes från Köpenhamn. 👑 Den svenska monarkin grundar sig på traditioner som sträcker sig mer än tusen år tillbaka i tiden. Antalet kungar har under denna långa tid uppgått till fler än 70 män, som alla kan anges vid namn. Sveriges nationaldag är svenska flaggans dag, helgdag samt även officiell salutdag. Enligt gammal tradition sköt Örlogsfartyg tidigare salut som en hedersbetygelse till nationen. 👑 Idag firar svenskar runt om i hela landet Sveriges nationaldag. I feel like I see moms who have simply given up on themselves almost every time I leave the house. I don't understand it. Becoming a mother made me more driven than ever to take care of myself. We are our children's primary role models in everything in life. If we don't take care of ourselves (physically, mentally, & spiritually), then they will grow up learning not to take care of themselves. Want healthy children? Be a healthy parent.

Two extraordinary brides from Hälsingland and Jämtland, Sweden. (Ca 1880-1889.) The brides were decorated with both real and paper flowers aswell as beautiful ribbons. Everyone in the villages helped by lending out jewelry and ribbons.
