The market ended the day in red after a volatile session. Benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex closed at 22,200 and 72,987 level. Nifty PSU Bank Index led gainers, up 1.4%, followed by Nifty Realty, up 1%. Nifty FMCG Index was the top loser, down around 1%, with Nifty auto and Media down around 0.5% each. Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank indices slipped 0.3% each. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.60% and the S&P BSE Small-Cap index gained 0.96%. Now, on the downside 22,930 holds the significant support level for Nifty (spot) and on the upside 22,350 holds the resistance level.
