Fiction has such a strong impact on worldview. The stories and characters that we identify with and the make believe worlds that enchant us as children color our opinions and view of the world much more than statistics and abstract data. Enough so that many people are incapable of putting aside false narratives in the face of a tidal wave of evidence because of their connection to those stories. One day hopefully we will have more authors and artists doing good work so that fiction once again helps to shape young minds positively and becomes a tool we can use rather than a poison we have to fight against.

I dont normally get into my own personal beliefs as I think thats often the case where they should stay. Its between you and 'management' upstairs, however, in moments when I do feel the need to reflect, center myself and try to connect with our higher power I dont beg or plead for childish things. I think any God would find that kind of pleading or pining for material things to be weak, pitiful and unworthy. Instead, I ask only for two things - the wisdom to know whats right and the courage to do it.

It’s gay to identify as a rebel. I’m not a rebel, I’m a normal man living in an abnormal time. I am rebelling against an unnatural system.
