The table and charts illustrate policy budget in a British area for 2 years: 2017 and 2018. Sources of budget are detailed in pounds in the table and distribution of that budget is shown in pie charts.
Overall, the primary source of money was national government, whereas other sources, namely grants, allocated the least. Apparently, the largest amount was distributed to salaries for officers and staff, while the opposite was true with technology.
Looking at the table in more detail, the majority of money came from national government, totally ยฃ175.5 million in 2017 and increasing slightly to ยฃ178 million in 2018. During the same period, grants allocated the least amount of 38 million pounds and remained almost stable. Additionally, local taxes was the source, which allocated more than ยฃ91 million at first, but then, the amount gradually increased by ยฃ11 million in 2018.
Expenditure distribution, as depicted in pie charts, predominantly allocated funds for officers and staff as salaries, comprising 75% of the budget in 2017 and mildly dropping to 69% in 2018. Conversely, only 8%ย of the total budget was spent on technology in the first year, however then, the proportion rised by 6% in 2018. Lastly, expenditure on building and transport remained consistent at 17% in both years.
