Early technological developments helped ordinary people and changed their lives more than recent developments.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Undoubtedly, technology has revolutionized our lives in many different ways throughout the history. It is stated that early technological inventions had more profound impact on the lives of ordinary people than recent developments do. I completely agree with this statement for several reasons that I will discuss in this essay.
Firstly, the early invention of wheels changed the world of commerce drastically for the better. At the time when human force and animal labour were in excessive demand in exporting and importing goods, the wheel brought tremednous benefits into the business landscape, making transportation of products relatively easy and cheap. Unlike modern vehicles, such as trains, plains, and cars, which are originally built on the concept of wheel and used to further improve trade, ancient carriages and simplistic locomotive machinery had much deeper impact on the commercial realm.
Secondly, the advent of printing press played a crucial role in the establishment of democracy around the world. Till the arrival of printing machines, information and knowledge were almost exclusively accessible to the elite few, with the rest of the globe staying uninformed and illiterate. However, early printing innovations completely transformed the way ancient societies functioned, democratizng information and opening avenues for improving public literacy rates by printing books and guidelines.
Finally, communication became much easier and more convenient thanks to early telegraph and masseging tools. People in the past used birds and human couriers to send letters to long distances. However, with the arrival of telegraph, which used electrical signals to deliver masseges, a faster and less labor-intensive digital exchange of information became possible, saving time, energy, and financial resources.
Admittedly, recent technological innovations have also had a powerful influence on our lives. In fact, social media, the internet, and computers have permeated and affected almost all the aspects of human existence, enhancing global connectivity, data exchgange, and informational accessibility. Nevertheless, I argue that all these modern technological tools serve merely to improve the already efficent life of contemporary people. The early technological tools, on the other hand, profoundly altered the world and set the stage for the developments we are witnessing in our current tech-based society.
In conclusion, the impact of technological tools of different times is a complex issue that neccessitates a careful consideration. While recent technological developments have certainly transformed the modern world, I believe that the influence of early innovations was much deeper, facilitating the transportation of goods, democrotazing the world, and promoting free exchange of masseges and data. Additonally, I contend that modern technology is just an avenue to better already existing opportunities, whereas the ancient technological realm created a ripple effect that reverberates through history.

The graph gives information about the patterns of internet usage among the Australian broken down into various age groups.
Looking first at emailing, it is by far and away the most common reason for using the internet, with roughly 90% of the Australian turning to this function on a regular basis. This feature of the internet is equally popular across all the age categories given in the question, at around 90%.
As for paying bills online and digital banking, the overall percentage of users is 65%. This purpose is mostly common among those aging from 25 to 64, the percentage ranging between 60% and 50%. A similar but less remarkable pattern of usage can be noticed in the youngest and the oldest age brackets, constituting 40%.
When it comes to social networking, with the total proportion of users standing at 60%, it has gained a mainstream appeal amidst the youngest contingent of Australian populace (15-24), at nearly 100%. This appeal decreases as people in the country age, accounting for merely 20% in the oldest age category.
In summary, it is clearly evident that emailing, reigning supreme in terms of total number of users, has been found to be the function with the highest demand by far throughout all the age brackets observed. However, the figure for social networking, albeit with largest share in terms of attracting people at the ages between 15 and 24, has the smallest overall usage.

The pictures depict the changes that have taken place in the layout of Port Harbour over the last 24 years.
In 2000, on the west side of the area was a road running from the south to the north, branching off of which were 2 other ways, one located close to the southern end while the other in the middle. The former branched road, which was connected with a car park and fishing boats towards the west-southern corner, would lead to the central area with a lifeboat, while the latter was short and allowed access for a car park that was surrounded by showers&toilets and private yachts. On the central north, there were a public beach, docks area, and passenger ferries, while east-southern corner of the harbour was occupied by a disused castle and another public beach.
So far, the layout of the harbour has undergone significant structural changes, with, for example, fishing boats and marine private yachts exchanging their locations. New showers&toilets have been built adjacent to the car park on the southern west, and cafe&shops have appeared next to the lifeboat. Additionally, the number of docs has been doubled, while the disused castle has been transformed into a hotel, with the nearby public beach dedicated exclusively for those using the hotel service. Meanwhile, the roads, car parks, passenger ferries, and the public beach on the north have remained intact.
In summary, it is clearly evident that the area has become more leisure-based throughout the period given, with new cafe&shops and additional showers&toilets spreading a breath of recreation. Of particular note are roads, car parks, and public beachs, which have remained unchanged over the same timescale.
