Which is better for next year? Option A. Quit my company completely Get small government support for housing and unemployent. Option B. Keep my company open and be allowed to earn 9400 via Art. But not get any benefits. When I have to work free as a trainee, possibly 6 months, this might get really tough. I will sell as much as I can on December in either case, to get as much into my accounting on this side of the year.

Important update regarding my business & upcoming commissions! 🎨✨ Starting next year, I will be transitioning from full-time to part-time entrepreneurship. To keep it transparent, the main reason is the rising cost of running a business in Finland. Next year, my mandatory self-employed pension insurance (YEL) would increase from 170 € to over 320 € per month, which is simply too high for me. By scaling down and keeping my annual business earnings under 9400 €, I can legally opt out of this insurance completely. If the red tape and bureaucracy become too overwhelming while I am looking for a job, I might even have to quit the company to access government support. As a solo entrepreneur, the upkeep is currently too pricey and government support is non-existent, unless you are the CEO of a big company, in which case you get all the benefits. What does this mean for you? Fortunately, I am still able to take on a healthy amount of new commissions right now. I am filling all slots and taking payments by December so they count toward this year's accounting. I will then focus fully on creating and finishing your artworks now and during next year in the order of the booking list.
