Three people, including a child and a 21-year-old pregnant woman, were killed and eight others injured after a building collapsed in northeast Delhi’s Seemapuri area on Wednesday, officials said.

Denmark’s Ministry of Research, Education and Digitalisation said Monday that unauthorized parties obtained illegal access to names, addresses, and CPR numbers — the country’s personal identification numbers — for about 8.8 million people registered in the Central Person Register (CPR). The figure covers living residents as well as people who have died or emigrated. Officials said the access was gained by misusing a private Danish company’s legitimate permission to query the system, not through a direct breach of protected name-and-address records. Irregular activity was detected Friday evening; the company’s access has since been cut off. Minister Christina Egelund called it a deeply serious incident, briefed parliament’s business and digitalisation committee, and ordered a full security review. The case has been reported to the data protection authority and is under police investigation. Citizens are advised to stay alert for possible misuse.
