The story, inspired by a real-life serial murder case in Japan, follows a Tokyo journalist who starts interviewing a woman accused of tricking and possibly killing men by seducing them with her cooking. #jinx_readsholy cow… a murder mystery?? more like a story full of recipes and asian beauty standards, and a sprinkle of self-discovery. 🍜 did i like the recipes? yes, i even tried some of em 🍜 do i agree with the beauty standards? hell nah, it’s 2025, get over em listen: the story was SO promising at the beginning. it felt like a slow burner but oh my god, did she lose herself in the cooking process…
i’m not a fan of obsessive characters losing control over themselves bc someone showed them a different way of living.. i know what inspiration is and this is just not it 😶🌫️ supa unhealthy, i’m sorryyyy..
