UPSC is not just about mugging up facts. It is about understanding, analysis, application, and decision-making ability.

Success mantra for UPSC mostly depends on: 1️⃣ NCERTs — Build your foundation strongly through NCERT books. 2️⃣ Understanding concepts properly through classes. 3️⃣ Linking concepts with current applications through newspapers. 4️⃣ Developing logical thinking and common sense. 5️⃣ Regularly solving PYQs to understand UPSC mindset and trends.

Don’t think paper will be like yesterday next year also. We should never keep a fixed mindset for UPSC preparation. Always observe the trends of the last 5–6 years and prepare with adaptability. I request all of you once again — don’t lose confidence. 1️⃣ Trust yourself. 2️⃣ Life is much bigger than UPSC. 3️⃣ Understand the right strategy. First, focus again on your class notes and basics. The important thing is not only what the teacher taught, but how much you understood by yourself. Second, strengthen your concepts clearly. Third, start applying concepts through newspaper reading. Don’t ignore newspapers. At least read one newspaper properly every day. Also improve your GK and factual knowledge. A book like Lucent GK can be useful throughout the year. Don’t spend too much time on YouTube watching endless videos and crash courses. Most importantly, don’t practice excessive questions and lose confidence. You might have seen the difference between test series and the actual exam. There is not always a direct linkage. UPSC is more about analytical skill set — how you handle the exam situation by using all the knowledge you gained from school days till exam day. Use your basics properly. Stay calm, stay confident, and keep moving forward. I wish all of you the very best once again. Don’t lose confidence. All the very best…
