While going through the nautical almanac to better learn celestial navigation, I come across this warning. What is a guy to navigate with. Worse than a globe with its inaccuracy warnings. Frustrating.

Vitrified Scottish construction. The past has many wonders to check into. Was the vitrification part of the design or the result of catastrophe ?
