Oversized git repo? If you accidentally pushed your oversized.zip file to your remote repository, you can delete it with BFG repo cleaner. Far more superior than git-filter-branch command. Written in Scala. STEPS: 1. Clone your repository with branches:

git clone —mirror https://github.com/your-username/your-remote.git

2. Checkout your git size:

git count-objects -vH

3. Download bfg.jar file and add it to folder temporarily and run (20M can be edited to the size you want):

java -jar bfg.jar --strip-blobs-bigger-than 20M

4. Cleanup repo:

git reflog expire --expire=now --all && git gc --prune=now --aggressive

5. Now check your size:

git count-objects -vH
