Highlighting a MARCOS deployment during Op Sindoor that I overlooked last year. Executing drone operations behind enemy lines is quintessential tasking for SF Official Citations Nau Sena Medal Lieutenant Commander Rishabh Purbiya (09897-T) was deployed in Jammu & Kashmir to target a terrorist camp in enemy territory. He utilized a deception plan to successfully strike the location. When his position came under retaliatory artillery and small arms fire, he secured the explosive ordnance and equipment into protective shelters. He then successfully led the team's exfiltration from the launch site during continued enemy shelling, earning the Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry). Manoj Kumar, Chief ME (222645-N), was deployed in Jammu & Kashmir to lead an attack on a terrorist training camp in enemy territory. He tactically moved his team and their combat loads to the launch position. To execute the strike, he crawled across the enemy's field of observation in mountainous terrain and successfully destroyed the allocated targets while under fire, earning the Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry).
